Problem seems to be in that bit: ln: failed to create symbolic link ‘/etc/dovecot/private/dovecot.pem’: File exists So in the upgrade, if file exists, it's stopping that to install the package. Sorry - no longer on ubuntu 10. But on ubuntu 12.04 LTS I have tried to install libapache2-mod-python (3.3.1-9ubutu1). First I got an systemerror and in the text it asked for an upgrade to another library, libldap-2.4-2. I made the upgrade and tried again. Same error. Chrash-file from both first and second install attached. Hope its is helpfull. openvswitch in Ubuntu Saucy and the Cloud Archive for Havana starts very early during boot (I switched it over to use upstart) so I don't believe this should still be a problem.
