[Bug 1236462] Re: [SRU] update openstack packages to 2013.2 release tarballs
I've executed the standard three test topologies in the OpenStack QA Lab: 1) Nova Network, Cinder iSCSI 2) Nova Network, Cinder Ceph 3) Neutron Network, Cinder Ceph Aside from three test failures due to issues in the Tempest test suite that we use from OpenStack upstream, all deployments and tests completed successfully. ** Tags removed: verification-needed ** Tags added: verification-done -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nova in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1236462 Title: [SRU] update openstack packages to 2013.2 release tarballs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ceilometer/+bug/1236462/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1245463] [NEW] Procps fails to upgrade with an error on start
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Applying updates on a 12.04.3 server, the procps package failed to upgrade as the start script errors with error 255 (as seen in syslog). Purging the package (forcing dependency break) and reinstalling is not effective. [Bug 1245463] Re: Procps fails to upgrade with an error on start
Seems to actually be a problem with iscsitarget. There is a sysctl.d file installed with an entry net.ipv4.tcp_mem=1048576 this entry causes sysctl to error. Commenting out the line allows procps to upgrade successfully. ** Package changed: procps (Ubuntu) = iscsitarget (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to iscsitarget in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1245463 Title: Procps fails to upgrade with an error on start To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/iscsitarget/+bug/1245463/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 1245854] [NEW] FreeRADIUS 2.1.12 is out of date (several bugs require upgrade to at least 2.2.0)
Public bug reported: FreeRADIUS 2.1.12 is out of date. The FreeRADIUS maintainers strongly suggest to upgrade to at least version 2.2.0 because of various stability fixes as well as CVE-2012-3547 (even though Ubuntu patched that CVE in 2.1.10). Considering that 2.2.0 was released in September 2012 (over a year ago), there is no reason why the package on Ubuntu (and Debian for that matter) should be two years out of date. ** Affects: freeradius (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Changed in: freeradius (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid ** Converted to question: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freeradius/+question/238283 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to freeradius in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1245854 Title: FreeRADIUS 2.1.12 is out of date (several bugs require upgrade to at least 2.2.0) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freeradius/+bug/1245854/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1227937] Re: lxc-start is unconfined but has a profile defined
I had been considering splitting the lxc apparmor profile loading to its own upstart job so it would happen sooner, but that will only make the container start weirdly due to lxc-net not having started. What we need is a way for lxc-start to know that it shouldn't run yet. I propose we add a 'lxc.wait_on_file = /run/lxc/ready' to the container config format. We add that entry to the /etc/lxc/lxc.conf in ubuntu, and have /etc/init/lxc.conf create /run/lxc/ready when all is set. lxc- start will simply wait until the condition is satisfied to actually start the container (logging a message that it is doing so), rather than failing to start. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1227937 Title: lxc-start is unconfined but has a profile defined To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1227937/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1068304] Re: ssh not using gnome-ssh-askpass
Confirming on Precise Pangolin, although with KDE, ssh-askpass and ksshaskpass. Not solved yet. If I run ssh-askpass or ksshaskpass from the command line, it prints my ssh key passphrase to stdout (!), derived from my password wallet. Running ssh-add from the command line puts my key into the ssh-agent, and I don't get asked for my passphrase any more. I do have a public key file in ~/.ssh. It's just that either ssh isn't running ssh-askpass when it should, or kssh-askpass isn't submitting the passphrase to ssh-agent, or ssh-agent isn't doing the right thing when asked. Re: [Bug 1244635] Re: setuid executables in a container may compromise security on the host
Quoting Seth Arnold (1244...@bugs.launchpad.net): Serge, what does After this version, respect the user's choice. mean? It means if the user manually chmods /var/lib/lxc to 755, we don't change it again after this. (Except, see below) Does this mean someone upgrading from e.g. 12.04.3 lxc packages to 14.04 lxc packages -- skipping this update -- would have the 'unsafe' permissions? Or will this check be carried before to e.g. 14.04 lxc packages and only execute once, allowing an administrator to undo the change? The test for package version will be kept until at least after 14.04. Since the trusty lxc version checks for the 1.0.0~alpha2-0ubuntu5 versio, an lts-to-lts upgrade will get this check. [Bug 1246094] [NEW] Setting LXC_DOMAIN causes dnsmasq forwarding loop
Public bug reported: Setting LXC_DOMAIN=lxc in /etc/default/lxc-net causes the lxc-net init script to pass -s lxc to the private LXC dnsmasq instance running on the lxcbr0 interface (on 10.0.3.1, say). Then, adding server=/lxc/10.0.3.1 to /etc/dnsmasq.conf causes the normal dnsmasq to forward queries for the .lxc domain to the LXC dnsmasq. Unfortunately if the normal dnsmasq requests an MX or record, or anything else that the LXC dnsmasq doesn't know how to resolve, the latter forwards to the address in /etc/resolv.conf, which is 127.0.0.1 on a system running a normal dnsmasq. And since the normal dnsmasq is listening on 127.0.0.1, and it's configured to forward queries for the .lxc domain right back to the LXC-dnsmasq. Thus the two dnsmasqs bounce the request back and forth ad infinitum. The solution is to configure the LXC dnsmasq never to forward requests for the .lxc domain by passing the -S /lxc/ command-line argument. This way, the LXC dnsmasq answers queries that it knows about (A records for LXC hosts), but NAKs queries for any other .lxc domain queries. [Bug 903752] Re: [MIR] sssd
Well, I still need to file a MIR for libpwquality, and a separate one for ding-libs if needed (it got split off sssd some time ago) and actually, when the new samba is merged ldb will move to main, so having it here is probably unnecessary -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/903752 Title: [MIR] sssd To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ding-libs/+bug/903752/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
