[Bug 1264478] [NEW] samba recycle NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL

2013-12-27 Thread tombert
Public bug reported:

smbd --version
3.6.6

Ubuntu 12.10 quantal

The recycle module is not initialized when using:
vfs objects = recycle
recycle:repository = .recycle
recycle:keeptree = Yes
recycle:touch = Yes
recycle:versions = No
recycle:exclude = *.tmp *.temp ~$* *.~??

(the same smb.conf working in Ubuntu 10.)

I tried to load the module manually by putting:
preload modules = /usr/lib/samba/vfs/recycle.so

But this fails with:
/var/log/samba/log.md171m2c:[2013/12/27 10:37:14.813237, 0]
smbd/vfs.c:173(vfs_init_custom)
/var/log/samba/log.md171m2c: error probing vfs module '/[Default VFS]/':
NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL
/var/log/samba/log.md171m2c: #4 smbd(smb_vfs_call_connect+0x7) [0xb6ee2fa7]
/var/log/samba/log.md171m2c: #5 /usr/lib/samba/vfs/recycle.so(+0x11e8)
[0xb625a1e8]
/var/log/samba/log.md171m2c: #6 smbd(smb_vfs_call_connect+0x30) [0xb6ee2fd0]

[Bug 1254931] Re: open-vm-tools-dkms 2013.09.16-1328054-0ubuntu2: open-vm-tools kernel module failed to build [error: incompatible types when assigning to type ‘kgid_t’ from type ‘int’]

2013-12-27 Thread Nate Muench (Mink)
This something I'll probably wait till upstream releases a new version.
Based on a Google search (and review of the build log), I think we're
missing a file, that (I think) only upstream can provide.

[Bug 1013171] Re: Many package hooks not ported to python3

2013-12-27 Thread Edward Donovan
This report was already getting too big for Launchpad to handle quickly,
and is all marked fixed. In these cases I'm usually advised to leave
the closed report as it is, and handle the new occurrence with the new
bug. You can certainly put a link to this bug, there, for informational
purposes. Maybe I can get to that.

Thanks!
