[Bug 1322625] [NEW] sensord daemon does not detects chips
Public bug reported: sensord daemon is started by /etc/rc2.d/S20sensord init.d script and it is started before /etc/init/module-init-tools.conf upstart script which loading modules from /etc/modules. If hwmon sensors is not detected at sensord startup it is not used. So for all hwmon drivers which must be manually loaded (e.g coretemp) sensord does detect chips and so it is not working. So for modern intel machines which using coretemp for temperature monitor, sensord package is not working. Solution for fixing this bug is to fix ordering of startup script. [Bug 1322692] [NEW] seed_random runs too early if local datasource used
Public bug reported: right now, seed_random is running in 'cloud_init_modules'. The reason for that was to ensure that it ran before the ssh config module (which writes the ssh keys). The problem is that cloud_init_modules is not guaranteed to have network access, and we're running 'pollinate -q', which depends on network. the result is that if you seed an image (cloud-localds) or use config-drive, pollinate will/may run before network is available. I was having this problem on Lubuntu 14.04, but just found a package called hibernate rather than pm-hibernate, and it works perfectly. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to pm-utils in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1319778 Title: cannot resume from suspend Ubuntu 14.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pm-utils/+bug/1319778/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 1322798] [NEW] Crashes occasionally on boot due to a bad free() call
Public bug reported: In testing the split greeter silo, I'm seeing an occasional (1 in 20 boots?) crash in cgmanager, which sometimes also causes problems starting a pam session for the greeter.
