[Bug 1322498] [NEW] Unable to set swift container ACL's on existing containers

2014-05-23 Thread James Page
Public bug reported:

Upstream bug: http://tracker.ceph.com/issues/8428

Setting ACL's on initial container creation works just fine:

$ swift post -r '.r:*,.rlistings' 61853c5a-e1d4-11e3-b125-2c768a4f56ac

container is created with .r:* read acl

but if I try to update the ACL post creation, I get a 401 unauthorized:

$ swift post -r '.r:*,.rlistings' 61853c5a-e1d4-11e3-b125-2c768a4f56ac
Container POST failed:

[Bug 1278466] Re: [FFe] ceph firefly stable release

2014-05-23 Thread James Page
@Henrik

I can try - do you have some details on how you setup EC + cache pools
so I can reproduce as closely as possible?

Also is the cluster actually idle? or is it staging data to/from the EC
pool which would consume CPU resources?

[Bug 1322625] [NEW] sensord daemon does not detects chips

2014-05-23 Thread Pali
Public bug reported:

sensord daemon is started by /etc/rc2.d/S20sensord init.d script and it
is started before /etc/init/module-init-tools.conf upstart script which
loading modules from /etc/modules. If hwmon sensors is not detected at
sensord startup it is not used. So for all hwmon drivers which must be
manually loaded (e.g coretemp) sensord does detect chips and so it is
not working.

So for modern intel machines which using coretemp for temperature
monitor, sensord package is not working.

Solution for fixing this bug is to fix ordering of startup script.
Upstart script /etc/init/module-init-tools.conf must be exetuted before
starting /etc/rc2.d/S20sensord (/etc/init/sensord)

What? There doesn't seem to be any such thing as module-init-

which runs in rcS.d, before anything in rc2.d.

[Bug 1322682] [NEW] -D variables not honored

2014-05-23 Thread matt
Public bug reported:

Within /etc/default/autofs I have:
OPTIONS=-DOSREL=2.6

running ps I get:
root  3474 1  0 09:16 ?00:00:00 /usr/sbin/automount -DOSREL=2.6

My map looks like this:
bin FILER:/vol/usrlocal//$ARCH/${OSNAME}$OSREL

But automount won't use the OSREL:
May 23 09:41:29 xco-ubuntu1404 automount[3474]:  mount.nfs: access denied by
server while mounting FILER:/vol/usrlocal/bin/x86_64/Linux3.13.0-24-generic

This setup works fine under RHEL4-7 and according to the documentation
should work fine under ubuntu.

[Bug 1322692] [NEW] seed_random runs too early if local datasource used

2014-05-23 Thread Scott Moser
Public bug reported:

right now, seed_random is running in 'cloud_init_modules'.
The reason for that was to ensure that it ran before the ssh config module
(which writes the ssh keys).

The problem is that cloud_init_modules is not guaranteed to have network
access, and we're running 'pollinate -q', which depends on network.

the result is that if you seed an image (cloud-localds) or use config-drive,
pollinate will/may run before network is available.

[Bug 1251298] Re: Failed to sign on to LRMd with Heartbeat/Pacemaker

2014-05-23 Thread Devin Vance
Bug is still present in 14.04 and the cluster-glue
1.0.11+hg2754-1.1build1 package.

I am fairly certain this is the same issue mentioned earlier on the mailing
list:
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/linuxha/pacemaker/85946

replacing /usr/lib/heartbeat/lrmd with a symlink to
/usr/lib/pacemaker/lrmd seems to resolve the issue as mentioned earlier
in thread.

[Bug 174168] Re: expecting SSH2_MSG_KEX_DH_GEX_GROUP

2014-05-23 Thread Michael Ratliff
I ran into the same issue connecting from 13.10 to 12.04. In order to
fix I had to uncomment both the Ciphers line in virbal's fix and the
MACs line.
