[Bug 1326396] Re: When reloading apache2 get a warning message: worker http://127.0.0.1:8180 already used by another worker

2014-06-05 Thread Robie Basak
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

As upstream has stated that this is a spurious warning, this issue has
only now been reported in Lucid after it has already been out for four
years already, and I don't expect that any new installations will be
using Lucid, I think a Low importance is appropriate.

[Bug 1326739] Re: [ubunutu 14.04] hp-dv5 resume instantly from suspend mode

2014-06-05 Thread leandro
Suspend, hibernate, and resume functionality is provided by three
different packages:

gnome-power-manager (in Ubuntu and Edubuntu) is responsible for
setting policy on when the system should be suspended or resumed and
signaling the system to do so.

pm-utils is responsible for getting the system into a state where it
can be suspended or hibernated, and handling any cleanup after resume.

The kernel implements the actual suspending and resuming and is
generally the responsible package when there are any hardware-related
failures after resume.

If you are unsure which package is causing the problem, a safe bet is
the kernel (package 'linux'), but make sure the bug title includes
suspend or hibernate.

For my bug : gnome-power-manager do the right thing because when te
laptop is unused it start to suspend...but it resume instantly..so
the problematic package might be pm-utils because when the system resume
the hardware runs correctly

** Package changed: ubuntu = pm-utils (Ubuntu)

[Bug 1275656] Re: open-vm-dkms 2011.12.20-562307-0ubuntu1: open-vm-tools kernel module failed to build

2014-06-05 Thread Colin Watson
Hello Jose, or anyone else affected,

Accepted cunit into precise-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cunit/2.1-0.dfsg-
9build1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update
out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the
bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help
us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification .  Thank you in
advance!

Sorry for the mess, just added a cunit task for the no change rebuild
required to get it moved to main.

As far as testing is concerned, building open-vm-tools-lts-trusty
against it should be sufficient to check that it works as expected.

patch for pm-functions.in

Since 1.4.0, _run_hook calls a log() after running the hook, and thus
loses the hook exit status:

199 hook_ok $1  $@
200 log
201 log -n $*:
202 hook_exit_status $?  LAST_HOOK=${1##*/} || inhibit

I attached a simple patch that seems to fix it.

This is important because e.g. a script that unmounts SD/MMC cards
before suspending cannot inhibit it if the card is busy (see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AspireOne/Ubuntu9.10?action=recallrev=69).

[Bug 1321427] Re: [SRU] Update walinuxagent package for Precise to v2.0.5

2014-06-05 Thread Ben Howard
I've run through all the test cases multiple times, and did several new
image builds to confirm everything is sane and works. Further, I have
also looked at other SRU's validation cases to doubly make sure that
things work.

Marking as verification done.

[Bug 1281793] Re: lxc packaging w/ bridge-utils is confused

2014-06-05 Thread JoaoCC
I have this same problem.
Ubuntu 14.04, lxc 1.0.3-0ubuntu3, shorewall 4.5.21.6-1
Basically lxcbr0 doesn't start, and I get the following message at
/var/log/upstart/lxc-net.log
iptables: Bad rule (does a matching rule exist in that chain?).
Any ideas?
Thx

[Bug 1258026] Re: Default configuration file Apache 2.2 not Apache 2.4

2014-06-05 Thread Viktor Petersson
In order to get this to work from any host (it's a secure network), I
had to add the following:

Order allow,deny
Allow from all
Require all granted

Previously 'Allow from all' was sufficient.

Perhaps I'm not up to speed with Apache 2.4, but just wanted ot put it
out there to save other people from wasting the time I did on this.

[Bug 1311919] Re: [SRU] pressing F5 throws errors about windows.tmux missing

2014-06-05 Thread Mathew Hodson
I reproduced the issue on trusty, and byobu 5.77-0ubuntu1.1 fixed the
issue for me. After I upgraded the package, I no longer got the error
message when I pressed F5.

[Bug 1327021] [NEW] regression in snapshot performance in trusty

2014-06-05 Thread Michael Hudson-Doyle
Public bug reported:

'nova image-create' is a lot slower on a trusty openstack than a precise
one:

+-+++---+
| ubuntu  | image  | disk size (GB) | snapshot time (s) |
+-+++---+
| precise | cirros | 1  | 6 |
+-+++---+
| precise | cirros | 10 | 6 |
+-+++---+
| precise | trusty | 10 | 38|
+-+++---+

+-+++---+
| trusty  | cirros | 10 | 61|
+-+++---+
| trusty  | trusty | 10 | 100   |
+-+++---+

It's also interesting that the time in trusty appears to depend on the
disk size whereas it didn't in trusty. AFAICT the nova code is the same
in both havana and icehouse, leaving libvirt as the most likely culprit
-- but this is not confirmed.
