Public bug reported:

I have been using smbclient to allow access to my NAS. This has worked
well in 14.04. But around Jan 2015 it has stopped working. I get
extremely slow access to Windows network and then repeated request for
password and no access. I know the passwords etc. are correct. But
appears now that smbclient has stopped working. I am not a Linux expert,
but I have successfully used smbclient more or less since 9.04, so I do
believe it is a bug. Possibly linked, an update around the same time
broke my HP wireless printer driver and I was forced to update that.
perhaps related?

I am on fully update 14.04 LTS

[Bug 1434428] Re: add cups/printer.conf* to .gitignore?

2015-04-11 Thread Martin Günther
Already discussed here: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=568090

They shouldn't be added to the default .gitignore, because they are real
configuration files. Instead, cups shouldn't keep updating the date in
that file. If a user wishes, they can manually put that file into their
.gitignore.
