[Bug 1455482] Re: Multipath: upgrade multipath-tools to upstream
Well, that change was made for a good reason; multipath now no longer depends on scsi_id to be able to pick drives to use to multipath, and we can explicitly whitelist (or use blacklist_exclusions) devices or re- enable ID_SERIAL by modifying multipath.conf. Is this affecting other drives than the QEMU ones for your use-case? There's still another issue though; in the installer we don't ship path selectors other than round-robin, so even if ID_SERIAL is whitelisted, you still need to modify multipath.conf to pick the round-robin selector instead of service-time -- which is now the default. I'll work on shipping service-time instead of round-robin, but the other option is to change multipath's default. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to multipath-tools in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1455482 Title: Multipath: upgrade multipath-tools to upstream To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/multipath-tools/+bug/1455482/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Well, that change was made for a good reason; snip Is this affecting other drives than the QEMU ones for your use-case? Agree, good reasons. Yes, the IPR disks show up as SCSI ones. And if there's no other attributes (say, the SCSI_* udev attributes which sg3-utils udev rules can set), the IBM IPR disks won't be multipathed. I didn't have a chance to check this w/ FC, but I suspect the WWN_ attributes are also defined by sg3-utils udev rules, and not somewhere else, so I guess they'd not work as well. The BTS bugs for the sg3-utils/whitelist/IPR rev issues are listed in comment #5. instead of service-time -- which is now the default. I'll work on shipping Ah, yeah, the service-time path selector.. also for the installer. For the initramfs that is resolved w/ Debian (BTS 782363). [Bug 1451091] Re: new upstream version 5.2.2
The current version of Strongswan (5.1.2) does not work with newer versions of pfSense (Strongswan 5.3.2 based). When using IPsec IKEv2/PSK the identity type is now prefixed leftid and rightid for better matching. The change requires at least Strongswan 5.2.2 but newest upstream is 5.3.2. Source: https://wiki.strongswan.org/projects/strongswan/wiki/ConnSection left|rightid = id Since 5.2.2 it is possible to enforce a specific identity type. For this a prefix may be used, followed by a colon (:). If the number sign (#) follows the colon, the remaining data is interpreted as hex encoding, otherwise the string is used as-is as the identification data. Note that this implies that no conversion is performed for non-string identities. For example, ipv4:10.0.0.1 does not create a valid ID_IPV4_ADDR IKE identity, as it does not get converted to binary 0x0a01. Instead, one could use ipv4:#0a01 to get a valid identity, but just using the implicit type with automatic conversion is usually simpler. The same applies to the ASN.1 encoded types. The following prefixes are known: ipv4, ipv6, rfc822, email, userfqdn, fqdn, dns, asn1dn, asn1gn and keyid. Custom type prefixes may be specified by surrounding the numerical type value with curly brackets. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to strongswan in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1451091 Title: new upstream version 5.2.2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/strongswan/+bug/1451091/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
Hm, could you elaborate on that? For instance, provide example configs? At a first glance I'd say what pfSense does is wrong, as it seems to send incorrectly encoded identity payloads. As described in the man/wiki page, you can't just prefix a string with a prefix and expect that to work correctly. These prefixes are really mostly useful in special situations (e.g. to encode a FQDN as keyid).

[Bug 1469168] [NEW] localhost is listed as a debian-server (and everything is included to fix it)
Public bug reported: When freshly installed, the basic configuration only monitors the localhost. It is displayed in the web GUI with a debian logo. There is a hostgroup called debian-servers in /etc/nagios3/conf.d/hostgroups_nagios2.cfg with localhost as a member. There is also a hostextinfo in /etc/nagios3/conf.d/extinfo_nagios2.cfg that indicates the paths to the debian logo for the hostgroup debian-server. In the directory where the logo is stored, there is a lot of logos including ubuntu.png. I changed all occurencies of debian in hostgroups_nagios2.cfg by ubuntu. I changed all occurencies of debian in extinfo_nagios2.cfg by ubuntu. The localhost server is now part of a Ubuntu group with a Ubuntu logo next to it. As everything is included and only the conf has to be changed, I think it must be fixed in the default package.
