Hi, I think most of your questions will be answered by looking at the
Stable Release Update wiki page:

I've applied and tested the upstream fix for this issue to the Samba

I've confirmed that the fix that's upstream in Samba is not present in the
current development release (Wily)
And I've packaged up the fix for trusty and submitted for the SRU team to

a test package published to be verified and if all goes well it will be

Work is under-way, specially the Trusty SRT task is in progress; bug
assignment isn't required AFAIK.

Hope that helps,

[Bug 1459751] Re: lxc-attach runs in wrong container directory

2015-06-26 Thread Serge Hallyn
Interestingly, while the programmatic attach (in the API) supports a
initial_cwd argument, the lxc-attach program does not.

The current logic is - if inital_cwd is specified, it is used. Otherwise,
you are placed in your current directory if it exists, else container root.

It probably would be best to have lxc-attach place you in the user's
homedir on login, although it may be hard to make such a change now
without upsetting existing scripts.

This brings 2 things to mind:
1) the property whitelist support (see one or two of those BTS bugs, for the
uid / udev ID_SERIAL change -- one is for sg3-utils)
2) (don't think this is the case) if you're not using scsi disks (say, virtio
disks), those are usually not multipath'able due to the lack of SCSI ID.

Hope this helps.

[Bug 1455482] Re: Multipath: upgrade multipath-tools to upstream

2015-06-26 Thread Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre
Well, that change was made for a good reason; multipath now no longer
depends on scsi_id to be able to pick drives to use to multipath, and we
can explicitly whitelist (or use blacklist_exclusions) devices or re-
enable ID_SERIAL by modifying multipath.conf. Is this affecting other
drives than the QEMU ones for your use-case?

There's still another issue though; in the installer we don't ship path
selectors other than round-robin, so even if ID_SERIAL is whitelisted,
you still need to modify multipath.conf to pick the round-robin selector
instead of service-time -- which is now the default. I'll work on
shipping service-time instead of round-robin, but the other option is to
change multipath's default.

Is this affecting other drives than the QEMU ones for your use-case?

Agree, good reasons. Yes, the IPR disks show up as SCSI ones.
And if there's no other attributes (say, the SCSI_* udev attributes which
sg3-utils udev rules can set), the IBM IPR disks won't be multipathed.
I didn't have a chance to check this w/ FC, but I suspect the WWN_ attributes
are also defined by sg3-utils udev rules, and not somewhere else, so I guess
they'd not work as well.

The BTS bugs for the sg3-utils/whitelist/IPR rev issues are listed in
comment #5.

shipping

Ah, yeah, the service-time path selector.. also for the installer.
For the initramfs that is resolved w/ Debian (BTS 782363).

Thanks!

[Bug 1469204] [NEW] /etc/default/docker format is wrong for systemd service

2015-06-26 Thread Scott Moser
Public bug reported:

If you install docker.io from archive, you get /etc/default/docker populated
with a string like:
#
# If you need Docker to use an HTTP proxy, it can also be specified here.
# export http_proxy=http://localhost:3128/

Simply uncommenting that line and adjusting to your http host will not
work.

This is because that file is loaded as an EnviornmentFile by systemd in
/lib/systemd/system/docker.service
 EnvironmentFile=-/etc/default/docker

And apparently, systemd silently ignores the line because it is not
key=value

To fix this, you have to:
http_proxy=http://your.proxy:3128/
rather than
export http_proxy=http://your.proxy:3128

I'm not sure if this is easily accomplished or not while retaining
support for that file being loaded by sysvinit also.

[Bug 1451091] Re: new upstream version 5.2.2

2015-06-26 Thread Bruno Thomsen
The current version of Strongswan (5.1.2) does not work with newer versions of
pfSense (Strongswan 5.3.2 based).
When using IPsec IKEv2/PSK the identity type is now prefixed leftid and rightid
for better matching.
The change requires at least Strongswan 5.2.2 but newest upstream is 5.3.2.

Source: https://wiki.strongswan.org/projects/strongswan/wiki/ConnSection

left|rightid = id

Since 5.2.2 it is possible to enforce a specific identity type. For this a
prefix may be used, followed by a colon (:).
If the number sign (#) follows the colon, the remaining data is interpreted as
hex encoding, otherwise the string is used as-is
as the identification data. Note that this implies that no conversion is
performed for non-string identities.
For example, ipv4:10.0.0.1 does not create a valid ID_IPV4_ADDR IKE identity,
as it does not get converted to binary
0x0a01. Instead, one could use ipv4:#0a01 to get a valid identity, but
just using the implicit type with automatic
conversion is usually simpler. The same applies to the ASN.1 encoded types.
The following prefixes are known: ipv4, ipv6, rfc822, email, userfqdn, fqdn,
dns, asn1dn, asn1gn and keyid.
Custom type prefixes may be specified by surrounding the numerical type value
with curly brackets.

[Bug 1451091] Re: new upstream version 5.2.2

2015-06-26 Thread Tobias Brunner
The current version of Strongswan (5.1.2) does not work with newer versions
 of pfSense (Strongswan 5.3.2 based).
When using IPsec IKEv2/PSK the identity type is now prefixed leftid and
 rightid for better matching.

Hm, could you elaborate on that? For instance, provide example configs?
At a first glance I'd say what pfSense does is wrong, as it seems to
send incorrectly encoded identity payloads. As described in the man/wiki
page, you can't just prefix a string with a prefix and expect that to
work correctly. These prefixes are really mostly useful in special
situations (e.g. to encode a FQDN as keyid).

When using PSK in pfSense you are required to select identifier type.
Looking at it from a security perspective it seems better to explicit
define identifier type rather then auto detect type.

[Bug 1469168] [NEW] localhost is listed as a debian-server (and everything is included to fix it)

2015-06-26 Thread mrzomf
Public bug reported:

When freshly installed, the basic configuration only monitors the
localhost.

It is displayed in the web GUI with a debian logo.

There is a hostgroup called debian-servers in
/etc/nagios3/conf.d/hostgroups_nagios2.cfg with localhost as a member.
There is also a hostextinfo in /etc/nagios3/conf.d/extinfo_nagios2.cfg that
indicates the paths to the debian logo for the hostgroup debian-server.

In the directory where the logo is stored, there is a lot of logos
including ubuntu.png.

I changed all occurencies of debian in hostgroups_nagios2.cfg by ubuntu.
I changed all occurencies of debian in extinfo_nagios2.cfg by ubuntu.

The localhost server is now part of a Ubuntu group with a Ubuntu logo
next to it.

As everything is included and only the conf has to be changed, I think
it must be fixed in the default package.

[Bug 1469143] [NEW] kpartx -d fails with image paths longer than 63 characters

2015-06-26 Thread Simo Punnonen
Public bug reported:

$ apt-show-versions multipath-tools
multipath-tools:amd64/vivid 0.4.9-3ubuntu12 uptodate

Reproduce:
Mount an image from a path longer than 63 chars succeeds:
$ sudo kpartx -av
asfd1asdf2asdf3asdf4asdf5asdf6asfd7asdf8asdf9asf10asdf11asdf12asdf13/disk.img
add map loop0p1 (252:0): 0 409600 linear /dev/loop0 2048
add map loop0p2 (252:1): 0 2 linear /dev/loop0 411648
add map loop0p5 : 0 819200 linear /dev/loop0 413696
add map loop0p6 : 0 819200 linear /dev/loop0 1234944
add map loop0p7 : 0 819200 linear /dev/loop0 2056192
add map loop0p8 : 0 1316864 linear /dev/loop0 2877440

but dismounting fails:
$ sudo kpartx -dv
asfd1asdf2asdf3asdf4asdf5asdf6asfd7asdf8asdf9asf10asdf11asdf12asdf13/disk.img

strace shows that the parameter on the dismount appears to get cut at 63 chars:
ioctl(3, DM_LIST_VERSIONS, 0x15b89b0) = 0
stat(asfd1asdf2asdf3asdf4asdf5asdf6asfd7asdf8asdf9asf10asdf11asdf12asdf13/disk.img,
 {st_mode=S_IFREG|0644, st_size=2147483648, ...}) = 0
stat(/dev/loop0, {st_mode=S_IFBLK|0660, st_rdev=makedev(7, 0), ...}) = 0
open(/dev/loop0, O_RDONLY)= 4
ioctl(4, LOOP_GET_STATUS, {number=0, offset=0, flags=0,
name=asfd1asdf2asdf3asdf4asdf5asdf6asfd7asdf8asdf9asf10asdf11asdf12a, ...}) = 0
close(4)= 0
stat(/dev/loop1, {st_mode=S_IFBLK|0660, st_rdev=makedev(7, 1), ...}) = 0
open(/dev/loop1, O_RDONLY)= 4
ioctl(4, LOOP_GET_STATUS, {number=0, offset=0, flags=0,
name=asfd1asdf2asdf3asdf4asdf5asdf6asfd7asdf8asdf9asf10asdf11asdf12a, ...}) =
-1 ENXIO (No such device or address)

if the path is 63 chars or less, the dismount also succeeds.

This is quickly becomes an issue if you want to use full disk paths in
your shell scripts.

[Bug 1468822] Re: Apache 2.4.7 does not set environment vars. Checked with Apache2 -V just after installation.

2015-06-26 Thread Marcio Correa
** Description changed:

I've been trying to discover why apache 2.4.7 does not source its envvars,
by default, in ubuntu 14.04!?
Running apache2 -V, we can confirm this issue getting several error
messages.
However, running source /etc/apache2/envvars everything is set!?
- Is it really a bug or anything else?
+ Is it really a bug or something else?

with the missing script. I really do.
