[Bug 1487679] [NEW] Breaking ordering cycle by deleting job nbd-client.service/start

2015-08-22 Thread Marc Schmitt
Public bug reported:

$ lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu 15.04
Release:15.04

$ apt-cache policy nbd-client
nbd-client:
  Installed: 1:3.8-4ubuntu0.1
  Candidate: 1:3.8-4ubuntu0.1
  Version table:
 *** 1:3.8-4ubuntu0.1 0
500 http://ch.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ vivid-updates/main amd64
Packages
500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ vivid-security/main amd64
Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
 1:3.8-4 0
500 http://ch.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ vivid/main amd64 Packages

I'm using the nbd-client to mount some raw disk images over the network
but starting the nbd-client automatically during bootup does not happen
due to the following:

Aug 22 08:54:20 fractal kernel: [ 11.875885] systemd[1]: Found dependency on
nbd-client.service/start
Aug 22 08:54:20 fractal kernel: [ 11.875890] systemd[1]: Breaking ordering
cycle by deleting job nbd-client.service/start
Aug 22 08:54:20 fractal kernel: [ 11.875891] systemd[1]: Job
nbd-client.service/start deleted to break ordering cycle starting with
basic.target/start

Meaning after boot, I have to manually run `sudo ndb-client start` every
time I want to access these images. Note that this is no diskless
system, the images I mount via NBD do not contain the local system, they
are totally unrelated.

** Affects: nbd (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 1487672] Re: package nginx-full (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/usr/sbin/nginx', which is also in package nginx 1.8.0-1~trusty

2015-08-22 Thread Thomas Ward
Don't mix the nginx upstream repository and the Ubuntu nginx flavors.

First, run: sudo apt-get remove nginx nginx-full nginx-common

Then, edit your apt sources and remove the nginx upstream repository.

Then, run: sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install nginx-full.

This remains 'not a bug' however, just a case of bad mixing of
repositories.

Having a new rrdtool and not lagging behind would be good, I think. I'll
complete the bug on Monday when I am back home, we just need to list things
from the upstream ChangeLog.

[Bug 1487039] Re: ARM Asterisk Failures Repeating Causing High CPU Usage

2015-08-22 Thread Vindicator
Ugh, I didn't even look at what JournalErrors.txt contained as I expected
ubuntu-bug would grab anything reported by the asterisk and related
processes, and not my tv tuner reception flubs.
Anyway I went ahead and reran the process and manually extracted the log info
specifically during the asterisk run which I'll have attached.
