[Bug 1491978] Re: [wily] nginx fails to install on ARM64
This isn't a bug, nor a problem with the package. Something else is listening on port 80, and therefore you can't start nginx. (It by default binds to port 80). Whatever the other process is (possibly Apache), you should shut it off, run the installation (or apt-get install -f), and then mess with configuration files so things aren't all trying to listen on port 80 at once. ** Changed in: nginx (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nginx in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1491978 Title: [wily] nginx fails to install on ARM64 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nginx/+bug/1491978/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 1489379] Re: LTE: ISST:leeklp4 no mpath choices for install ubuntu 15.10
I'm attaching a patch that solves the issue; verification steps below. It disables -fexceptions when building multipath-udeb. (I had in mind something more elegant, like only adding -fno-exceptions from debian/rules into DEB_CFLAGS_MAINT_APPEND as done w/ -static- libgcc, but that way it doesn't override the post-added -fexceptions in Makefile.inc).. and found no other variable that would override it w/ less changes. So it's adding a patch to Makefile.inc and it does the job.) Some comments with more details/explanation of the issue were not mirrored yet; should be on their way. Build verification: -- Checking the build log, the 2 tur.o objects are built correctly: 1) multipath-udeb: with -static-libgcc and without -fexceptions 2) multipath deb: without -static-libgcc and with -fexceptions (default) $ dpkg-buildpackage 2>&1 | tee ../dpkg-buildpackage.log $ grep -- '-o tur.o' ../dpkg-buildpackage.log cc -g -O3 -fPIE -fstack-protector-strong -Wformat -Werror=format-security -static-libgcc -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -O2 -g -pipe -Wall -Wp,-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fstack-protector --param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -Wunused -Wstrict-prototypes -fPIC -DLIB_STRING=\"lib\" -I.. -c -o tur.o tur.c cc -g -O3 -fPIE -fstack-protector-strong -Wformat -Werror=format-security -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -O2 -g -pipe -Wall -Wp,-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fexceptions -fstack-protector --param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -Wunused -Wstrict-prototypes -fPIC -DLIB_STRING=\"lib\" -I.. -c -o tur.o tur.c Checking the build output, the ELF objects (don't) dyn-link to libgcc_s as appropriate: 1) multipath-udeb: ELF objects don't dyn-link with libgcc_s 2) multipath deb: ELF objects dyn-link with libgcc_s $ find debian/tmp-multipath-udeb/ | while read file; do file $file | grep -q ELF && objdump -x $file | grep -q 'NEEDED.*libgcc_s' && echo $file needs libgcc_s; done $ $ find debian/tmp/ | while read file; do file $file | grep -q ELF && objdump -x $file | grep -q 'NEEDED.*libgcc_s' && echo $file needs libgcc_s; done debian/tmp/lib/libmultipath.so.0 needs libgcc_s debian/tmp/lib/multipath/libchecktur.so needs libgcc_s debian/tmp/sbin/multipathd needs libgcc_s $ Installer verification: --- Configure multipath.conf for using tur with QEMU/KVM SCSI disks: ~ # cat | A dynamic linking error occurred: (libgcc_s.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory) uuid hcildev dev_t pri dm_st chk_st vend/prod/rev dev_st 0:0:1:0 sda 8:0 -1 undef faulty QEMU,QEMU HARDDISK running 0:0:2:0 sdb 8:16 -1 undef faulty QEMU,QEMU HARDDISK running ... [Bug 1490361] Re: IncompatibleObjectVersion: Version 1.2 of PciDeviceList is not supported
I've run into this yesterday, right after nova-compute upgrade to 2015.1.1 on all compute nodes in my environment. Turned out that openstack-nova 2015.1.0 (scheduler or perhaps one of its dependencies?) on controller is not something that nova-compute 2015.1.1 on compute nodes can live with! [Bug 1273462] Re: Users can mistakenly run init.d scripts and cause problems if an equivalent upstart job already exists
@Martin Note that this is bug a regression - previously, before the (I presume) dh_installinit change, /etc/init.d/foo was a symlink to /lib/init /upstart-job so a user running /etc/init.d/foo by hand was redirected to upstart anyway. So while I appreciate that a user might now be getting desired behaviour by calling /etc/init.d/foo directly on some package somewhere, it seems unlikely that this change will regress by redirecting to the upstart job as we were doing for that package on a previous release - the window for that behaviour to have diverged is fairly small. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1273462 Title: Users can mistakenly run init.d scripts and cause problems if an equivalent upstart job already exists To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lsb/+bug/1273462/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

The attachment "Disable -fexceptions when building multipath-udeb" seems to be a debdiff. The ubuntu-sponsors team has been subscribed to the bug report so that they can review and hopefully sponsor the debdiff. If the attachment isn't a patch, please remove the "patch" flag from the attachment, remove the "patch" tag, and if you are member of the ~ubuntu-sponsors, unsubscribe the team. [Bug 1439649] Re: Pacemaker unable to communicate with corosync on restart under lxc
Looking at logs from bug 1491228, it would appear that the first time that pacemaker goes to talk to the corosync daemon it gets denied. Per upstream docs [0], if the enable-acl property isn't explicitly enabled, then any user in the haclient group should have access. Since the hacluster charm doesn't explicitly enable the acl, I'd expect pacemaker to be running under the haclient/hacluster uid/gid. The charms don't enable the acl and the package creates the hacluster user in the haclient group, so I suspect there's something additional going on here. For completeness, I'll attach the syslog in here. The pacemaker node did start after following JuanJo's workaround in comment #15.
