Sorry for reporting this way if it's not correct.

The PPA version of byobu(5.97) seems to be incompatible with tmux(1.8-5)
in trusty and probably older releases.

Situation:
- Upgraded my 14.04 installation to the latest byobu version from the PPA.
- Uncommented "source-file $BYOBU_CONFIG_DIR/windows.tmux" in 
/usr/share/byobu/profiles/tmuxrc.
- Configured ~/.byobu/windows.tmux with "new-session -A -s byobu; neww 
mycommand", which works well.

Problem:
- New windows and panes are opened in / instead of ~.
- I found that the parameter -c was introduced for the commands new-window|neww 
and new-session in t-mux 1.9. byobu adds a "-c #{pane_current_path}" to 
keybindings like F2 and ctrl+a c, but this does not seem to work.

Solution:
- Installing a newer version of tmux (like 
https://launchpad.net/~mpanella/+archive/ubuntu/tmux) solved the problem 
without changing the configuration.

Please consider including an updated version of tmux in the PPA for
Ubuntu releases that ship versions below 1.9.

The instructions given in the bug description aren't accurate.

The make gem use an https URL, you need to create an /etc/gemrc or
~/.gemrc file with the following contents:

:sources:
- https://rubygems.org

Make sure it works by using "gem environment" and making sure "REMOTE
SOURCES" is using the https URL.

The upstream wiki is somewhat out of date. The Squid-3.3 versions of
Squid which are installed with "aptitude install squid" on current
Ubuntu do contain almost all the Squid-2 features.

The few useful ones which it omits are in later Squid versions not yet
packaged for Ubuntu, but available from Debian repositories. If there
are missing features please get in touch with upstream about available
options for getting them ported from the obsolete Squid-2.6/2.7 fork
back to the Squid mainline releases.

- good job. I've made a few minor changes I will post here.

I'm getting autopkgtest failures when run against wily-proposed though:

future-local-provider FAIL non-zero exit status 1
future-manual-provider FAIL non-zero exit status 1

I presume that the tests need to be updated to use systemd instead of
switching to upstart.

I'm EOD now and am out until Monday now, but I can sync with you next
week on what needs to be done next and who will do what. The tedious
part looks good - we just need dep8 tests to be amended so they pass and
then we can upload.

I'm not sure wich component crashes but it seems it is QXL or QEMU, or
may be the issue is in libvirt (?) Anyway please look at logs in
attachment.

Given that VNC does this as well, I traced the problem all the way back
to getaddrinfo() behavior in libc. I believe this describes it:

tl;dr: It ignores loopback when enumerating addresses per family.
Workaround is to define the display as ::1, which works fine since
there's a global v6 address on the box.
