[Bug 1518016] [NEW] Nova kilo requires concurrency 1.8.2 or better

2015-11-19 Thread Mohammed Naser
Public bug reported:

OpenStack Nova Kilo release requires 1.8.2 or higher, this is due to the
addition of on_execute and on_completion to the execute(..) function.
The latest Ubuntu OpenStack Kilo packages currently have code that
depend on this new updated release. This results in a crash in some
operations like resizes or migrations.

This commit above shows that OpenStack now requires 1.8.2 instead of
1.8.0. We would appreciate if the 1.8.2 upstream release can be brought
in to resolve this bug.

Thank you.

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 158 ***

Hi, as the bug title says, it's a problem with socat, not with epoptes.
We cannot solve it in the epoptes code.

We've had reported it in https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=803378, you can comment there to show that it's
important to you, so that the socat debian maintainers backport the
patch that the upstream developer supplied.

Add 'lxd' to the list of recognized hypervisors

Currently its not possible to set the hypervisor_type on a
glance image to 'lxd' to ensure it gets targetted to the
right type of hypervisors as 'lxd' is not a recognised
hypervisor type.

Thanks so much for the patch! I've uploaded it to xenial (with a slight
modification -- moved the defaults_read_config out to lookup_init, to
make the patch slightly more generic/future-proof).

This should probably be SRU'd to wily too, but lets see how it works in
xenial first.

2015-11-19 Thread Robie Basak
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

Since it seems likely to me that this is a local configuration problem,
rather than a bug in Ubuntu, I'm marking this bug as Incomplete.

If indeed this is a local configuration problem, you can find pointers
to get help for this sort of problem here:
http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community

Or if you believe that this is really a bug, then you may find it
helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively"
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem,
explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem
specific to your system, and then change the bug status back to New.

[Bug 1517865] [NEW] nginx-extras push module fd leak

2015-11-19 Thread Sergey
Public bug reported:

Hi!
As I see this bug is fixed in Utopic
(https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/utopic/+source/nginx/+changelog)

Would it be fixed it Trusty?
I'm asking this question because Trusty is much more suitable for server
version as it is LTS.
P.S. May be official backport of Utopic 1.6.2 with fix?

[Bug 1460177] Re: Support metadata service with IPv6-only tenant network

2015-11-19 Thread Armando Migliaccio
I am not biased one way or the other and I can see both sides of the
arguments. Based on the lack of consensus and in the absence of someone
volunteering to resolve/define the course of action, I can't see how
this can be targeted/approved.

2015-11-19 Thread Thomas Ward
Given that this is the first report of this in 18 months, I am going to
set this as "Priority Low", and ask that you investigate to determine
the cherry-pickable fix for this, or rather, the specific patch or
changes necessary to fix the issue. If the cherry pick is identified,
we may be able to go forward fixing this issue.

[Bug 1517426] Re: don't apt-get source packages from -backports

2015-11-19 Thread Iain Lane
trusty-backports has "NotAutomatic: yes"

  http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/trusty-backports/Release

Which means that, for binary packages at least, you have to explicitly
ask for them from -backports (or have that forced on you by package
relations). Does this not apply to source packages too?

If not, this might be an apt bug / feature request too.

(Just checked...

ubuntu@test:~$ apt-cache policy lxc
lxc:
