I have mounted a CIFS share on Ubuntu 14.04, with samba 2:4.1.6+dfsg-
1ubuntu2.

I am able to get the listing of one directory within the mounted share,
but not another directory ("permission denied"). I have confirmed on
Windows that the same user can list files in both directories.

I have attached the CIFS logs for the directory where I am getting a
"permission denied" error when listing the directory.

I have the same problem in Ubuntu 14.04.3 too...here's my
/etc/network/interfaces.

  # Localhost
  auto lo
  iface lo inet loopback

  # WAN - connected to MODEM
  ##
  # We use allow-hotplug here as otherwise get boot hang if modem down
  auto eth0
  allow-hotplug eth0
  iface eth0 inet dhcp

The problem comes and goes.

Using the cloud archive repository for Liberty (and prior releases), the
nova-common package installer setup script attempts to sync the
database. By default, the Ubuntu packages use a SQLite database for each
OpenStack service... a configuration that few, if any, deployments
should use. The sync process works on the default SQLite database rather
than waiting for the user to reconfigure the service to use
MySQL/MariaDB and run the database sync, therefore performing nothing
useful for the user.

Marking this is confirmed against the Ubuntu Cloud Archive for Kilo,
Juno, and Trusty which are still supported from the Ubuntu perspective
and is known not to include the os-brick library dependencies.
Certainly, the testing for the change to os-brick needs to be verified
that the problem is fixed there, so leaving that as incomplete.

Matthew,

Yeah I agree this is a duplicate of the bug. Since I had pitched up an SRU
proposal for this, what's the best course of action. The duplicated bug has
multiple patches attached to it but nothing's been done. I'm happy with
either:

a) migrating the attached patches that I applied for lp 1394237 over to
this bug and fill out the SRU template
b) taking the attached patches which were already attached to lp 1248054
and proposing an SRU based on this

Any suggestions?
