[Bug 1543741] Re: package nginx-core 1.9.3-1ubuntu1.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocesso script post-installation instalado retornou erro do status de saída 1

2016-02-09 Thread Thomas Ward
This isn't really a bug.

Fev 09 19:04:59 jaime-A6JC nginx[3077]: nginx: [emerg]
BIO_new_file("/etc/diaspora/ssl/localhost-bundle.pem") failed (SSL:
error:02001002:system library:fopen:No such file or
directory:fopen('/etc/diaspora/ssl/localhost-bundle.pem','r')
error:2006D080:BIO routines:BIO_new_file:no such file)

This error, extracted from the error output in `systemctl -l status nginx`,
indicates that it is attempting to open a certificate in .pem format in
`/etc/diaspora/ssl/localhost-bundle.pem'. This file does not exist, or NGINX
does not have the access to reach it. Therefore, this is a configuration error
on the system in which your install/upgrade failed. Please go back and verify
the configuration options you use which specify paths to certificates and such
actually exist on your system.

[Bug 1543430] Re: kpartx 0.5.0-7ubuntu11 fails to remove loop mapping on kpartx -d

2016-02-09 Thread Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre
Ugh, yeah, I see now that the patch fixing dealing with loopbacks at all
"regresses" in a way, but not dealing correctly with the loop entries
even though it appears to deal with the devmapper table just fine.

I'm looking at it right now, it's not pretty. There are basically two
ways I can think of to deal with this. Either relying more on
loopdev/device than S_ISREG on the buf that describes the file opened
(we needed to stat the loopback device after picking it, otherwise no
major/minor numbers to do the partition mappings), or hacking
buf.st_mode to convince kpartx we're still dealing with a regular file.

I'm trying to see what might break if we just use loopdev or device
everywhere. I will upload as soon as I'm reasonably confident this does
not further break things, and I'll adjust the autopkgtest accordingly.

bugfixes in HTTP/2 (which remains disabled in Ubuntu), TCP support in
the resolver functions, and the first of the dynamic modules
functionality.

--

This is the upstream changelog:

Changes with nginx 1.9.1109 Feb
2016

*) Feature: TCP support in resolver.

*) Feature: dynamic modules.

*) Bugfix: the $request_length variable did not include size of request
   headers when using HTTP/2.

*) Bugfix: in the ngx_http_v2_module.

--

Coordination for the dynamic modules inclusion will be done with Debian,
as they should likely be the first to produce dynamic-module-based
packaging; once it's in Debian we may wish to consider it for inclusion
later, with the release team's approval to do so. Such dynamic module
inclusion will very likely result in an increase in the number of built
binary packages, but this will be determined at a later time.

For updating nginx in Xenial to 1.9.11, there should be no major
packaging changes - as I would rather Debian come up with the module-
specific-packages first, so it can then be merged and included into
Xenial.

I am currently touching base with Debian to determine if we want to do a
coordinated release; if I don't hear from them, then nginx 1.9.11 will
likely get its own upload with the -0ubuntu1 version suffix. (All
changes from the prior merges will remain in place).

[Bug 1468804] Re: mysql stop/restart fails + breaking mysql + reboots

2016-02-09 Thread Benedikt Bär
Also happens with MariaDB. systemctl does not stop it, neither does a
restart work.

Unfortunate when you try to update your system, as APT will hang for a
long time before the MySQL upgrade script errors out, since
MySQL/MariaDB are still running.

[Bug 1543367] Re: nested unprileged container fails to start at mounting /proc

2016-02-09 Thread Joseph Salisbury
Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a
prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v4.5 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
"Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

[Bug 1473903] Re: parted will generate two devices when adding one partition on mpath device

2016-02-09 Thread Mauricio Faria de Oliveira
This is working correctly.
Marking as verification-done.

After partitioning with parted, there's only one device node for the
partition (with the -part disk-partition separator).

There's /still/ some messages in parted mentioning it could not find the
device, but the partitions are created correctly -- note those
messages were already present in the original bug report, so this is not
a regression.

[Bug 1486370] Re: ISST-LTE: not all mpath device files are symbol link

2016-02-09 Thread Mauricio Faria de Oliveira
This is working correctly w/ kpartx.
One instance it seems to be still generating symlinks/nodes intermixed is when
using parted.
However, during reboot and post-boot kpartx invocation, it is pretty consistent
w/ only nodes.
So, this seems correct with regards to the code in multipath-tools.
Marking verification-done.

After parted:

[Bug 1543776] [NEW] snapd systemd configuration in ubuntu-snappy, snapd in ubuntu-snappy-cli package

2016-02-09 Thread Robert Ancell
Public bug reported:

The systemd configuration for snapd to allow socket activation is in the
ubuntu-snappy package, but snapd is in the ubuntu-snappy-cli package.
This means you need install both packages to get snapd to "just work".
It seems like the systemd configuration should move into the ubuntu-
snappy-cli package or there should be a new package just containing
snapd (my preferred solution).

** Affects: snappy (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Assignee: Michael Vogt (mvo)
 Status: New

[Bug 1540401] [PATCH V2] booting with LVM on multipath devices

2016-02-09 Thread bugproxy
--- Comment on attachment From mauri...@br.ibm.com 2016-02-04 10:20
EDT---

Hi Canonical,

Please consider this patch V2 for review.

It includes 2 important changes:
- The '--nr 1-1024' to the partx command.
- Built on top of the patches for multipathd/initramfs (LP #1526984) and kpartx
w/ spaces (LP #1432062) -- both required.

Thanks,

[Bug 1536882] Re: upload golang1.5 package for trusty

2016-02-09 Thread Michael Hudson-Doyle
For a few reasons (same version as LTS, support for external linking on
ppc64el), it's now looking like a better idea will be to get Go 1.6 into
trusty instead. But it still makes sense to talk about approving the
general idea and the tricks required for building the package.

[Bug 1543624] Re: Please update nginx in Xenial to 1.9.11

2016-02-09 Thread Thomas Ward
We are not rolling Dynamic Module support at this time, though it's
available in core. To build dynamic modules, one must build the module
alongside nginx, at compile time, but it will produce .so shared library
objects that can be individually packaged.

There is an FTBFS in the nginx-extras flavor, with the Lua module. This
is blocking uploading NGINX 1.9.11 to Ubuntu.

Ongoing tracking of the incompatibility can be found at these upstream links
for the Lua module:
https://github.com/openresty/lua-nginx-module/issues/668

[Bug 1543624] Re: Please update nginx in Xenial to 1.9.11

2016-02-09 Thread Thomas Ward
As previously with uploads/merges to Xenial, this is being build-tested
in https://launchpad.net/~teward/+archive/ubuntu/xenial-buildtests.
Subsequent versions of the package in this PPA will get +b1, +b2, etc.
appended to the end for build testing purposes.

Depending on whether Debian gets a solution for this sooner than I do, this
will be versioned for Ubuntu as one of the following:
Direct Upload: 1.9.11-0ubuntu1
Merge from Debian: 1.9.11-1ubuntu1

[Bug 1543697] [NEW] Unprivileged nested Xenial container will not start inside a privileged Xenial container

2016-02-09 Thread Christopher Townsend
Public bug reported:

I have a host where I create a privileged Xenial container. Inside that
privileged container, I create an unprivileged Xenial container using
the ubuntu user in the privileged container. When I try starting the
unprivileged container, I get the following error:

  lxc-start 20160209133200.970 INFO lxc_cgroup -
cgroup.c:cgroup_init:65 - cgroup driver cgroupfs initing for test-lxc
  lxc-start 20160209133200.971 ERRORlxc_cgfs - cgfs.c:cgfs_init:2248 -

  lxc-start 20160209133200.971 ERRORlxc_start -
start.c:__lxc_start:1273 - failed to spawn 'test-lxc'

've tried both Trusty host w/ ppa:ubuntu-lxc/lxc-stable installed and a
Xenial host with the same results. I've also tried using ppa:ubuntu-
lxc/daily in the privileged Xenial LXC.

** Affects: lxc (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

** Summary changed:

- Unprivileged nested container will not start inside a privileged container

Re: [Bug 1543367] Re: nested unprileged container fails to start at mounting /proc

2016-02-09 Thread Serge Hallyn
It's not something I regularly do, as I normally nest inside unprivileged
lxd containers. So I can't say whether it is a regression. I did revert
to an older trusty kernel and have the same behavior.

I'm going to need to write a script to make this more easily reproducible,
but I won't have time for that today.
