[Bug 1863026] [NEW] Remove my_bool typedef workaround
Public bug reported: During the previous development cycle, when mysql 8 was introduced, too many reverse deps failed due to the my_bool removal. It was then decided to put that back in to let the reverse dependencies build again. Now we should try to drop it one more time, and instead fix the reverse dependencies. Either by updating them, if upstream fixed it, or reintroducing only this my_bool typedef in the reverse dependency itself, instead of in mysql as it's now. This bug will track these tasks: - remove my_bool workaround from Ubuntu's mysql 8 package - fix the build of the reverse dependencies, each one a task of this bug. [Bug 1862947] [NEW] crmsh should be taken back to -main
Public bug reported: crmsh is currently the most tested cluster resource manager configuration tool we have for Ubuntu (pcs being the second one, and already scheduled for more tests in order to replace it in a near future). With that said, currently crmsh is found at -universe: rafaeldtinoco@workstation:~$ rmadison crmsh crmsh | 1.2.5+hg1034-1ubuntu3 | trusty | source, all crmsh | 1.2.5+hg1034-1ubuntu4 | trusty-updates | source, all crmsh | 2.2.0-1 | xenial | source, ... crmsh | 3.0.1-3ubuntu1| bionic/universe | source, all crmsh | 3.0.1-3ubuntu1| disco/universe | source, all crmsh | 4.1.0-2ubuntu2| eoan/universe | source, all crmsh | 4.2.0-2ubuntu1| focal/universe | source, all When it should be placed back in main since there is no other way to configure pacemaker other than editing manually - blergh - a CIB file for example. There's gotta to be supported way (-main) to configure clustering. There was already a MIR for crmsh: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/crmsh/+bug/1205019 So I'm including crmsh as a pacemaker dependency for it to be triggered as a component mismatch. [Bug 1862928] Re: python-crypto (i386) needs rebuild in Focal (python 3.7 -> python 3.8 dependency refresh)
09:43 you see that python3-crypto has per-arch deb files 09:43 I added a comment in the case and subscribed steve 09:43 while your conter-xample of ansi just has one called ..._all.deb 09:43 — rafaeldtinoco checks 09:43 AFAICS python3-crypto contains no arch dependent files 09:44 so it could be Architecture:all, rebuilt and then it should work 09:44 but as I said this is always confusing having an expert like vorlon comment on it sounds the right path forward before we'd do anything wrong 09:46 cpaelzer: dh $@ --with=python2,python3 --buildsystem=pybuild 09:46 ? 09:46 and I could remove python2 from rules also 09:46 together with the rebuild 09:47 and change Architecture: all 09:47 sure, but I thought we only remove those python2 that are blocking anything 09:47 we only want to demote to universe or did it change and we want to drop things entriely? 09:48 anyway - agreed, it feels almost always right to drop py2 - just sometimes you might cause more work than you solve 09:48 think of other dependencies on that and the chain that you need to resolve then for example 09:52 yep, i think that is the last one 09:52 as I rebuilt it locally and was able to re-enable all needed samba pkgs 09:53 your rebuilt gave you an :i386 package 09:53 yep 09:53 I'd expect that an :all package is even more generic 09:53 which the :all might do 09:53 I see no need this needs to be per-arch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1862928 Title: python-crypto (i386) needs rebuild in Focal (python 3.7 -> python 3.8 dependency refresh) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-crypto/+bug/1862928/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 1862928] Re: python-crypto (i386) needs rebuild in Focal (python 3.7 -> python 3.8 dependency refresh)
Steve, Looks like python3-crypto package is not in the i386 archive. Judging by: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-crypto https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-crypto/+publishinghistory https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-crypto/2.6.1-11ubuntu2 https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-crypto/2.6.1-11ubuntu2/+build/17949247 And based on other similar tests (python3-pam also failing in i386 only environment, but some other python3-XXX packages having i386 binary packages available) I would say we need the i386 binary package python3-crypto back in archive to satisfy the needs for: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/1861316 (MERGE: https://code.launchpad.net/~rafaeldtinoco/ubuntu/+source/samba/+git/samba/+merge/378664) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1862928 Title: python-crypto (i386) needs rebuild in Focal (python 3.7 -> python 3.8 dependency refresh) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-crypto/+bug/1862928/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
