*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 984499 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/984499 This installation is a fresh 12.04LTS onto bare metal on a new box, not an upgraded one. Stopping the smtpd process (/etc/init.d/smtpd stop) allowed the update to go through.
