[Bug 625394] [NEW] Should puppet-master require, suggest or recommend activerecord?

2010-08-27 Thread Darren Worrall
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: puppet

Just experimenting with upgrading to 2.6(.1~rc2-0ubuntu1) on maverick. I
installed puppetmaster-passenger (which works great btw), copied over my
configs and manifests, and it complained that storeconfigs = true could
not be used without activerecord

I installed libactiverecord-ruby and all was ok, but I noted that at the
moment the puppetmaster[-* ] package[s] do neither require, nor
suggest/recommend it

For me, it should be a straight dependency, but I use it, so I'm biased!
I suppose that it could also depend/suggest a database adapter, libdbd-
sqlite3-ruby maybe?

Fwiw, the package in lucid-proposed (0.12.4-0ubuntu0.1) fixes this issue
for me. Would love to see it promoted to -updates

[Bug 479226] [NEW] Cannot authenticate using PolicyKit dialogs with domain credentials, prompts for local user

2009-11-09 Thread Darren Worrall
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: likewise-open5

When logged in as a domain user - who has root permission via sudoers -
policykit dialogs prompt for the password of a different local user,
rather than who I'm currently logged in as.

local user fooadmin
domain user foo

Not sure which part has their knickers in a twist, apologies if filing
against likewise-open is wrong.

Steps to reproduce:

login as domain user (domain\foo)
try to edit a network connection
when clicking apply, policykit dialog pops up asking for password of local
fooadmin user.
