Public bug reported: Binary package hint: munin-node
Using Karmic (9.04) and munin-node (1.2.6-13ubuntu3), I see the follow errors in the /var/log/munin/munin-node.log: 2009/11/10-11:20:01 CONNECT TCP Peer: "127.0.0.1:56126" Local: "127.0.0.1:4949" Can't locate object method "new" via package "XML::Simple" at /etc/munin/plugins/tomcat_threads line 89. 2009/11/10-11:20:05 Plugin "tomcat_threads" exited with status 2304. ---- Can't locate object method "new" via package "XML::Simple" at /etc/munin/plugins/tomcat_access line 85. 2009/11/10-11:20:05 Plugin "tomcat_access" exited with status 2304. ---- Can't locate object method "new" via package "XML::Simple" at /etc/munin/plugins/tomcat_volume line 85. 2009/11/10-11:20:05 Plugin "tomcat_volume" exited with status 2304. ---- Can't locate object method "new" via package "XML::Simple" at /etc/munin/plugins/tomcat_jvm line 88. 2009/11/10-11:20:05 Plugin "tomcat_jvm" exited with status 2304. ---- Installing libxml-simple-perl fixed the issue. It does not appear that libxml-simple-perl is listed as a suggested or recommended package (http://packages.ubuntu.com/karmic/munin-node).
