Actually, interestingly I just found: ps aux | grep ssh-agent madmaze 23158 0.0 0.0 13600 920 pts/8R+ 20:24 0:00 grep --color=auto ssh-agent madmaze 24080 0.0 0.0 0 0 ?Zs Nov02 0:14 [ssh-agent] defunct I tried restarting ssh-agent but problem persists. it seems after a reboot it fixed itself again, so I assume it crashed for some reason.
