[Bug 540625] [NEW] Why was QEMU proper dropped in favor of KVM?

2010-03-17 Thread whardier
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: qemu-kvm

If I can't access qemu proper anymore whats the use of having kqemu-*
still available? Many users don't have VT enabled processors - having
qemu proper and kqemu was a very good method of emulating hosts using
the very popular qemu system. Please bring this back!

** Affects: qemu-kvm (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

Re: [Bug 162253] Re: openssh: want hpn-ssh for 20x speed improvement!

2009-02-12 Thread whardier
I submished a patch for this on the debian side of things.. but i'd love
to see an official version based on the openssh tarballs and it's own
package full fledged packages.

Re: [Bug 249273] Re: python-samba - where did it go?

2008-07-17 Thread whardier
Sigh.. I was assuming the changelog link on the packages website pointed
to the most recent changelog. Instead I was looking at an older
changelog that didn't contain that message.

It stinks that it's gone from upstream.. Time to salmon up and see whats
going on @ debian.

I compiled it, it segfaulted a lot.. probably a reason it's abandoned...

Now I just need somebody to swig up python-smbclient :)

The Samba team doesn't maintain it anymore. Debian just dropped it
because of this. You'd better off asking the Samba team.
