[Bug 1020166] Re: Patch socat on lucid to address CVE-2010-2799
Shouldn't the update come from the socat package maintainer (Chris Taylor)? ** Changed in: socat (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to socat in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1020166 Title: Patch socat on lucid to address CVE-2010-2799 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/socat/+bug/1020166/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 1020166] Re: Patch socat on lucid to address CVE-2010-2799
No. There is no concept of package maintainers in Ubuntu. Anyone is welcome to attach a debdiff that fixes the issue, and subscribing ubuntu-security-sponsors, at which point someone from the security team will review it and upload it. ** Changed in: socat (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to socat in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1020166 Title: Patch socat on lucid to address CVE-2010-2799 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/socat/+bug/1020166/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 1020166] Re: Patch socat on lucid to address CVE-2010-2799
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Since the package referred to in this bug is in universe or multiverse, it is community maintained. If you are able, I suggest coordinating with upstream and posting a debdiff for this issue. When a debdiff is available, members of the security team will review it and publish the package. [Bug 1020166] Re: Patch socat on lucid to address CVE-2010-2799
The sync in bug 613761 fixed this in Maverick and beyond, so there's only Lucid and Hardy to consider. Note that socat is in universe. ** This bug has been flagged as a security vulnerability -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to socat in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1020166 Title: Patch socat on lucid to address CVE-2010-2799 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/socat/+bug/1020166/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
