You have been subscribed to a public bug: The first thing I did was trying to install lamp server like below: sudo tasksel install lamp-server. Then I entered the root password for mysql, after few mins the installation stopped at 72%(for very long time), It didn't recover at all. So I just closed the terminal. And when I went to System->administration->synaptic package manager, I came across this bug.
