Since uninstalling postfix with 'complete removal' in synaptic, the
error message does not appear.

2009-11-13 Thread Mathias Gug
Relevant error message:

Running newaliases
postconf: fatal: /etc/postfix/main.cf, line 23: missing '=' after attribute
name: pickupfifo n - - 60 1 pickup
newaliases: fatal: /etc/postfix/main.cf, line 23: missing '=' after attribute
name: pickupfifo n - - 60 1 pickup
dpkg: error processing postfix (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 75

Seems that /etc/postfix/main.cf has an invalid syntax. Could you add
/etc/postfix/main.cf to this file (if it still exists)?

Sorry, I no longer have the same main.cf as before, as I've just set up
postfix to work properly. It was probably my fault anyway. Thank you for
looking into it.

Marking Invalid since the reporter doesn't have the configuration file
anymore and was able to setup postfix successfully afterwards.
