Hero! As predicted, I commented out the line that caused the two sets of options ot be evaluated and the installation worked fine. My bad for leaving a half configured zone lying around. Could you please check if you have duplicated the 'options' section in named.conf and named.conf.local and fix your configuration. This will likely resolve your problem.
