I'm not aware of having defined a capture card. How would I delete it and re-add it please? [Bug 579094] Re: 10.04 Upgrade, backend no longer communicating with mysql database
Thanks. That was indeed very helpful and I am now much further forward, although I still ended up going round the same circle including the same no UPnP message when I run mythtv backend setup. Having performed the tweak advised in bug #556204 of editing and saving /etc/init/mythtv-backend.conf file with an addition to the dependent conditions of and started udev-finish, my mythtvbackend.log now appears as follows: 2010-06-03 12:30:02.378 MainServer::ANN Monitor 2010-06-03 12:30:02.396 adding: james-desktop as a client (events: 0) 2010-06-03 12:38:11.617 mythbackend version: branches/release-0-23-fixes [24879] www.mythtv.org 2010-06-03 12:38:11.618 Using runtime prefix = /usr 2010-06-03 12:38:11.630 Using configuration directory = /home/mythtv/.mythtv 2010-06-03 12:38:11.647 Empty LocalHostName. 2010-06-03 12:38:11.655 Using localhost value of james-desktop 2010-06-03 12:38:11.671 New DB connection, total: 1 2010-06-03 12:38:11.686 Connected to database 'mythconverg' at host: localhost 2010-06-03 12:38:11.688 Closing DB connection named 'DBManager0' 2010-06-03 12:38:11.697 Connected to database 'mythconverg' at host: localhost 2010-06-03 12:38:11.708 Current MythTV Schema Version (DBSchemaVer): 1254 2010-06-03 12:38:11.714 MythBackend: Starting up as the master server. 2010-06-03 12:38:11.723 New DB connection, total: 2 2010-06-03 12:38:11.730 Connected to database 'mythconverg' at host: localhost 2010-06-03 12:38:11.739 MythBackend, Error: No valid capture cards are defined in the database. [Bug 579094] Re: 10.04 Upgrade, backend no longer communicating with mysql database
I have a fresh installation of Ubuntu 10.04 and am trying to run the mythtv backend setup for 0.23 mythtv. It looks to me as though this is the problem I am having too. If I can contribute please let me know, although I am only a beginner (not a complete newbie) so will need guidance. In doing some quick searching, I couldn't immedately find a complete resolution. This was the closest thing I came across: http://.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1469902 You might do some further searching on variations of your error message(s). ** Also affects: mysql-dfsg-5.1 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: mysql-dfsg-5.1 (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed ** Changed in: mythbuntu Status: Incomplete = Invalid -- 10.04 Upgrade, backend no longer communicating with mysql database https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/579094 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to mysql-dfsg-5.1 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
