[Bug 583217] Re: /etc/init.d/spamassassin reload fails
Can't reproduce. Could you attach your /etc/init.d/spamassassin file ? ** Changed in: spamassassin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: spamassassin (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- /etc/init.d/spamassassin reload fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/583217 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to spamassassin in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 583217] Re: /etc/init.d/spamassassin reload fails
Both stop and reload use start-stop-daemon --stop --pidfile $PIDFILE --exec $XNAME so they should work if $PIDFILE is successfully created (start-stop-daemon will look for processes based on PIDFILE rather than based on XNAME). Did you change PIDFILE location, or run under a specific user ? In doubt, please attach your /etc/default/spamassassin file. -- /etc/init.d/spamassassin reload fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/583217 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to spamassassin in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 583217] Re: /etc/init.d/spamassassin reload fails
strange. PIDFILE in /etc/init.d/spamassassin was as delivered in package. however in /etc/default/spamassassin a different one was specified. after setting it to the same file it now works. thanks. -- /etc/init.d/spamassassin reload fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/583217 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to spamassassin in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 583217] Re: /etc/init.d/spamassassin reload fails
Closing as Invalid, since spamassassin relies on a writeable PIDFILE for correct operation. ** Changed in: spamassassin (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Invalid -- /etc/init.d/spamassassin reload fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/583217 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to spamassassin in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
