Sir-
I didn't know if my Ubuntu install had mysql-server installed so I ran sudo
apt-get install mysql-server and got the following output:
j-r...@rollins:~$ sudo apt-get install mysql-server

On a hunch I attempted to reinstall bacula and it installed. I don't know
what caused the bacula installation to fail the first time but I have it
now. Thank you for responding. In hind-sight I'm sorry I submitted a bug
report but I *was* prompted to do so by Ubuntu.
Regards,
Ted

Was the mysql-server package installed before bacula? Was the mysql server
up and running before the bacula installation started?
