2010-09-06 Thread whoop
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: dbus

When I click the network icon to browse the contents of the network I get
maximum cpu usage by gvfsd-smb-brows and and the following error:
  Could not display network:///.
Error: DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a
reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply,
the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired,
or the network connection was broken.
Please select another viewer and try again.

The process has to be killed manually, it does not seem to stop by

[Bug 631740] Re: Dbus error when clicking network icon in nautilus

2010-09-06 Thread exploder91
Same error here clicking on Network in the Places menu.

Error: DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply.
Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the
message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or
the network connection was broken.
Please select another viewer and try again.

CPU usage goes to 100% on one core and stays like that until I reboot.

[Bug 631740] Re: Dbus error when clicking network icon in nautilus

2010-09-06 Thread Jelmer Vernooij
Reassigning - Samba does not provide any DBus interfaces, and gvfsd-smb-
browse is part of gvfs.

While the latter uses libsmbclient (which is part of Samba) I have not
seen any indication that this would in fact be a bug in libsmbclient.
