Hi toby, Thanks for taking the time to report this as a bug and help us make Ubuntu better.
On reading your DpkgTerminalLog.gz, it would appear that you are trying to install the 'dotdeb' version of mysql-dfsg-5.1. This is not an officially supported Ubuntu released package. I would suggest approaching the people who created it. I believe dotdeb.org is oriented toward Debian packages, and so may not integrate well with Ubuntu releases. If you want v5.1.49 on Lucid, you may want to submit a backport request for it, if it is not already in backports that is. Closing bug report as Invalid. ** Changed in: mysql-dfsg-5.1 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- package mysql-client-5.1 5.1.41-3ubuntu12.6 failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/mysql', which is also in package mysql-client-core-5.1 0:5.1.41-3ubuntu12.6 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/634406 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to mysql-dfsg-5.1 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
