[Bug 696685] Re: infinite pending instances using eucalyptus on vmware-player

2011-01-06 Thread BlackNinjaVirus
Thanks, Scott
This is just a demo for proposal.
I will use the cloud-in-your-pocket.
I thought VMWare on my i7 laptop would run kvm-ok, but I guess VMware doesn't
like KVM.

I suggest that if you're interested in pursuing this you might want to

[Bug 696685] Re: infinite pending instances using eucalyptus on vmware-player

2011-01-06 Thread Scott Moser
There are general issues with running all-in-one setup in 10.04.

Additionally, I suspect that eucalyptus-nc is not running or operating
correctly as you wont' have kvm support in your vmware guest. At very
least you will have to configure the NC to run with qemu (non-
accelerated).

Also, the attached 'nc.log' shows:

# /etc/eucalyptus/eucalyptus.conf
#
# These are the Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud's default Eucalyptus parameters.

# Affects: CC, NC
# See: **NOTE** below
VNET_MODE="SYSTEM" # per documents 'system' is for vmware

However, instances 'run' now, but 'shutdown' instantly
