Public bug reported: I'm playing with libvirt and lxc.
After mounting cgroups, libvirt would fail, complaining like: 14:11:47.530: 14545: error : lxcVmStart:1418 : internal error The 'cpuacct', 'devices' & 'memory' cgroups controllers must be mounted 14:19:50.412: 14545: error : lxcVmStart:1418 : internal error The 'cpuacct', 'devices' & 'memory' cgroups controllers must be mounted I thought to restart libvirtd and did: sudo restart libvirt-bin doing so does not actually stop libvirt-bin, the pid will remain the same. So, that did not fix my problem, but the following *does*: sudo stop libvirt-bin sudo start libvirt-bin ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: libvirt-bin 0.9.2-4ubuntu8 ProcVersionSignature: User Name 3.0.0-8.10-virtual 3.0.1 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-8-virtual x86_64 Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu Aug 11 15:25:57 2011 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: libvirt UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: libvirt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug oneiric -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to libvirt in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/824611 Title: restart libvirt-bin does not restart libvirtd To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/824611/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
