Public bug reported: I'm using Oneiric Beta 1, and the open-vm-tools packaging from the Oneiric main repo.
I'm in the process of getting the August packaging ready for upload/proposal. After logging into the X session (after login), the NumLock doesn't engage (I thought this was a bug in the July packages, which would be fixed in the August packaging, but I was wrong) NumLock has previously engaged after I installed the Tools (The March packaging backward). I don't know if I nicked something when doing the work on the July release. Right now, my solution to this problem is installing NumLockX. I was going to put the package as a suggested package in the August release, but I wanted a second opinion. I want to know if I'm the only one encountering this or not? If I'm not the only one, I want to know: 1) Are there any other packages encountering this issue (like Bug #836277)? 2) A fix to the problem (which I'll add to my packaging), or whether my solution is good enough (adding NumLockX as a suggested (or even a Recommended) package). ** Affects: open-vm-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to open-vm-tools in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/840648 Title: NumLock doesn't engage when entering X session To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/open-vm-tools/+bug/840648/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
