[Ubuntu-translations-coordinators] [Bug 1172620] Re: Slide about internet and photos have a big scrollbar
Wait, sorry, it totally isn't a duplicate of that bug! I could have sworn we already had a scrollbars bug, but actually that's the only one that popped up when I did a search, so, uh, carry on. Don't mind me. ** Summary changed: - Slide about internet and photos have a big scrollbar + Slides with too much copy (especially in translations) have a big, ugly scrollbar -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Translations Coordinators, which is subscribed to Ubuntu Translations. [Ubuntu-translations-coordinators] [Bug 1056456] Re: [UIFe] New copy for Ubuntu installer slideshow
Okay, it's merged. Thanks for the help. [Ubuntu-translations-coordinators] [Bug 958880] Re: [UIFe] Update of Lubuntu Slideshow for 12.04
As a UIFe, definitely. But we can put this in for Q or maybe a 12.04 point release if there's interest. (The link to the mailing list, at least, is arguably a bug and can be fixed with minimal impact on translations). Please make a merge request or open a new bug report for that, if you'd like, and I'll see what can be done :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Translations Coordinators, which is subscribed to Ubuntu Translations. Re: [Ubuntu-translations-coordinators] [Bug 956554] Re: [UIFe] Changes accumulated in the slideshow branch after UI freeze
Thanks for tidying things up, Stephane! And sorry about the trouble with releases. Seems I'm not getting commit notifications lately. I'd better fix that :) The string change in the Ubuntu pot file isn't going to show up in translations, so it doesn't need to be translated in 12.04 any more. Not a big deal, but I'll bring that up on the Translators list in case anyone wonders. [Ubuntu-translations-coordinators] [Bug 848700] Re: need translated slideshow image
Thanks for your input! For this to happen we'll need some pretty significant infrastructure on the web and a big change to how this project gets its data. (Maybe some localizations could be always be pulled from a web server?). It's something I'd love to see, but it will be a lot of work. (And it doesn't help that I wrote some rather picky screenshot guidelines to go on top of the already quite specific branding guide). For the time being that is patched over with a note in the project's readme that says to please ensure screenshots communicate visually instead of through English text, but at the moment we aren't doing particularly well at that. It could be easier, and more effective, to replace our screenshots with specially made graphics. That way we could avoid having any text at all (readable text in screenshots is kind of yucky anyway), we'd save translators' time, and with the right artwork it could look a little nicer. ** Also affects: ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Translations Coordinators, which is subscribed to Ubuntu Translations. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/848700 Title: need translated slideshow image Status in Installer Slideshows for Ubuntu friends: New Status in Ubuntu Translations: New Status in “ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: By contrubuting from all over the world, Ubuntu can show installing message translated with many languages.
