revno: 445
committer: Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre mathieu...@ubuntu.com
branch nick: network-manager-applet
timestamp: Mon 2015-01-26 20:15:32 -0500
message:
  * New upstream release: 0.9.10.1.
  * Resync packaging with Debian:
- debian/rules: Set DEB_HOST_MULTIARCH, use dh_install exclusions rather
than removing .la and .a files separately.
- debian/control: Build-depends: update NM b-deps, drop docbook-to-man,
bump to dh 9, update libgtk/libglib2.0 b-deps versions and make
  libnm-gtk Multi-Arch-aware.
- debian/*.install: update paths for multi-arch.
- debian/compat: bump to compat level 9.
  * debian/patches dropped because they were applied upstream:
- git_use_paths_in_vpn_name_files_4867951.patch,
- git_revert_system_ca_cert.patch,
- lp289466_always_show_tray_icon.patch,
- key-certificate-extensions.patch,
- lp829673_gconf_hide_applet.patch,
- 0001_Move_on_with_enter_in_the_country_page_of_the_new_mobile_wizard.patch
  * debian/patches/lp328572-dxteam-connect-text.patch,
debian/patches/lp330571_dxteam_wired_connect_text.patch,
debian/patches/lp330608_dxteam_gsm_connect_text.patch: stop carrying
needless string changes causing delta with upstream; any changes to the
strings should happen there so we stay in sync.
dropped; included upstream.
  * Refreshed remaining patches.

  One context is connection established.

  Another is Infiniband mode.

It's hard to cover two context in one translation.

GNOME master is not affected, Connected is used only in infiniband
  context.

[Ubuntu-translations-coordinators] [Bug 1432382] [NEW] fcitx translations are not available in launchpad/langpack

Public bug reported:

Now that most of fcitx related packages are in main as a result of LP:

[Ubuntu-translations-coordinators] [Bug 1355815] Re: check-new-release-gtk crashed with ValueError in new_dist_available(): unsupported format character '' (0xffffffe3) at index 18

2014-08-12 Thread Nobuto MURATA
According to Japanese LoCo discussion[1], there seems a problematic
translation[2] in current langpack.

Correct placeholder is %(version)s but it misses last s in the
current released langpack. We seems to need Japanese langpack update for
precise.

  SRU debdiff for trusty:
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/173673094/im-config_trusty-sru_v2.debdiff

  [Impact]

   * Cannot input languages which need IM(ibus, fcitx) in Qt5 apps, e.g.
  webapp-container, webbrowser-app, friends-app, etc.

  [Test Case]
   1. prepare ibus or fcitx environment with CJK(Chinese, Japanese, Korean)
language, for example.
   2. install and launch webbrowser-app
   3. confirm that you cannot enable IM inside webbrowser-app
   4. update im-config packages to -proposed one
   5. logout from desktop session and re-login
   6. confirm that now you can enable IM and input CJK language with ibus or
fcitx.

  [Regression Potential]

   * This patch sets QT_IM_MODULE which might affect Qt4 app behaviour,
both Qt5 and Qt4 app tests are preferred to make sure there is no
regression for both sides. I used webbrowser-app(Qt5) and skype(Qt4)
  before attaching the patch.

  [Other Info]
related discussion is debian bug report.
  http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=732396

  -- original description --

  WORKAROUND:
launch webapp-container with QT_IM_MODULE variable like the line below.

  $ env QT_IM_MODULE=ibus webapp-container --app-id=Gmailmailgooglecom
  --webapp=XX --enable-back-forward --store-session-cookies

webapp-container looks like QT5 application, im-config needs to care
about QT_IM_MODULE in addition to other *_IM_MODULE variables?

[Ubuntu-translations-coordinators] [Bug 1309885] Re: Cannot enable IM inside Qt5 apps including webapp-container

2014-05-07 Thread Nobuto MURATA
Something wrong in SRU process. Bug member field of im-config in the status
page below is empty.
http://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/pending-sru.html

Anyway the proposed package seems accepted into trusty-proposed, setting
the status accordingly.

  SRU debdiff for trusty:
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/173225716/im-config_trusty-sru.debdiff

  [Impact]

   * Cannot input languages which need IM(ibus, fcitx) in Qt5 apps, e.g.
  webapp-container, webbrowser-app, friends-app, etc.

  [Test Case]
   1. prepare ibus or fcitx environment with CJK(Chinese, Japanese, Korean)
language, for example.
   2. install and launch webbrowser-app
   3. confirm that you cannot enable IM inside webbrowser-app
   4. update im-config packages to -proposed one
   5. logout from desktop session and re-login
   6. confirm that now you can enable IM and input CJK language with ibus or
fcitx.

  [Regression Potential]

   * This patch sets QT_IM_MODULE which might affect Qt4 app behaviour,
both Qt5 and Qt4 app tests are preferred to make sure there is no
regression for both sides. I used webbrowser-app(Qt5) and skype(Qt4)
  before attaching the patch.

  [Other Info]
related discussion is debian bug report.

  -- original description --

  WORKAROUND:
launch webapp-container with QT_IM_MODULE variable like the line below.

  $ env QT_IM_MODULE=ibus webapp-container --app-id=Gmailmailgooglecom
  --webapp=XX --enable-back-forward --store-session-cookies

webapp-container looks like QT5 application, im-config needs to care
about QT_IM_MODULE in addition to other *_IM_MODULE variables?

An upstream debian bug is talking about setting QT_IM_MODULE for fcitx, but the
idea is the same for fixing IM in QT5.

   2. place ecryptfs-utils.mo file in
/usr/share/locale-langpack/YOUR_LOCALE/LC_MESSAGES/
   3. remove ~/.config/update-notifier/hooks_seen and
~/.ecryptfs/.wrapped-passphrase.recorded (with care)
   4. restart update-notifier

  Expected result:
All messages in the dialogue are translated.

In Japanese(ja) locale, the question is not shown as translated.
It seems that the string was translated on Oct 6 but it's not included in
-proposed package.
https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/quantal/+source/unity-firefox-extension/+pots/unity-firefox-extension/ja/1/+translate
https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/quantal/+source/unity-firefox-extension/+pots/unity-firefox-extension/ja/10/+translate

The -proposed package might contain outdated translations?

Other locales can be checked here:

[Ubuntu-translations-coordinators] [Bug 1066969] Re: Translations for the webapps installation prompt are not loaded

2012-11-05 Thread Nobuto MURATA
Hi David,

hmm... that's weird.

 [1] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/TranslationDeadline
and
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QuantalQuetzal/
says the deadline was October 9th.

The mail for heads up for this translation has been sent on Oct 4th.
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-translators/2012-October/005665.html

Could you import translations from LP again if possible?

[Ubuntu-translations-coordinators] [Bug 1074663] Re: You should restart Firefox now popup is not translated

2012-11-04 Thread Nobuto MURATA
Currently ubufox is not integrated with Launchpad in translations.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations/KnowledgeBase/Ubufox

It would be great if ubufox can support LP integration like
unity-firefox-extension.
It sounds like related to:

[Ubuntu-translations-coordinators] [Bug 982924] Re: Record you passphrase notification untranslated

2012-11-01 Thread Nobuto MURATA
With my branch attached to this bug, the dialogue is marked as
translatable and a new .pot will be generated during build as usual.

In my test, the title Record your encryption passphrase is shown as
translated, but still no luck with the description. Strange...

[Ubuntu-translations-coordinators] [Bug 982924] Re: Record you passphrase notification untranslated

2012-11-01 Thread Nobuto MURATA
Hi Gabor,

thanks for your quick response.
You're describing an issue with or without line break just after the
Description: string, right?
Indeed I suffered the issue when working on my branch.

I'm sorry for my insufficient explanation, my current issue in #6 is
with or without a single dot after a single space (will be recognized as
a line break).

This combination of the two below is not shown as translated:
http://paste.ubuntu.com/1325199/
http://paste.ubuntu.com/1325201/

But another combination (without linebreak) works:
http://paste.ubuntu.com/1325198/
http://paste.ubuntu.com/1325196/

Did you heard something like this before?
