Hi all,
I think I asked this some time ago, but I actually cannot remember.
Anyway, here it goes:
I've been asked on IRC about the status of the installation guide. We
expose it for translations in Launchpad, and I'd like to know whether
these translations will be used.
Is there anyone maintaining it and taking care of:
* Updating the templates in Launchpad
* Exporting the translations and integrating them into the package
I realise it is quite late in the cycle, but if the guide is not
currently maintained, I would disable the translation templates to avoid
translators doing work that will not be used.
Thanks.
Regards,
David.
Ok, I've just talked to Colin Watson, who's maintaining the installation
guide, and we agreed that it would be best to disable the translations
from Launchpad until there is an easier way to sync translations with
upstream.
So you'll no longer find translatable templates here:
https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/installation-guide
And I've exported the translations here, for those wanting to send them
back upstream:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations/Upstream/Universe (see the
installation-guide link)
Regards,
David.
