[ubuntu-uk] where is everyone?
Is it me, or something at my end here, but things seem uncommonly quiet on this list for the last several days? -- alan cocks Kubuntu user#10391 -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.kubuntu.org/UKTeam/

Could it be? I presume you mean this site: http://www.linuxexpo.org.uk/ which is actually the site for organising the .org village, rather than the expo itself, which is at: http://www.linuxworldexpo.co.uk/ or rather, should be at, as it's giving Address Not Found and has done for at least a month. We're probably not profitable enough for IDG, the organisers. I did moot an alternative notexpo on the Greater London LUG list, but nothing came of it. Re: [ubuntu-uk] where is everyone?
The last LinuxWorld I attended (which was probably the last one in 2006, thinking about it) seemed somewhat more corporate once you ventured outside the .org Village than before. This seems to have been a trend over the last few I've visited... Sean -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.kubuntu.org/UKTeam/

Re: [ubuntu-uk] where is everyone?
Curiously enough this seems to be world wide as a few lists I'm on have gone very quiet over the past couple of days and various where are you mails are popping up. Personally, I reckon it's all the sons and daughters hiding from their mothers' over the weekend it kinds of knocks your self esteem to have your mum asking you questions like did you wash your hands after being to the toilet? in the biggest stage whisper possible at your favourite eatery E -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of norman Sent: 04 March 2008 18:47 To: ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com Subject: Re: [ubuntu-uk] where is everyone?
