Im still stuck!

yes in fact i am using the 4.7gb discs...
No unfortunately i didnt get the loewe in the end..although i did go and see it 
in person..man it was beautiful...Ive put off buying one until i have green to 
to buy one! the one i saw was about 2k!

ive just had confirmation from where i bought the DVD rom that it does support 
both type of formats.

Does your burner support both DVD plus and minus media?

Have you tried Gnomebaker?

Whenever I have problems with K3B it usually at least gives an error 
message of some description such as the burn is bad (usually in my case 
down to a duff disc) or something along those lines.

from what i can see it is + format! the rewriteable dics are also + format. It

 Have you tried Gnomebaker?
 
 Whenever I have problems with K3B it usually at least gives an error 
 message of some description such as the burn is bad (usually in my case 
 down to a duff disc) or something along those lines.

its a lightscribe... it does support + yes and yes i have used it to burn b4

Ok, well maybe its not got the correct driver for the lightscribe? Might be the
