[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 743408] Re: [sandybridge-gt1] GPU lockup (IPEHR: 0x02000004)
I was just hit by this one as well. For me, this was triggered by watching the Dr. WHO preview on this page, and clicking the fullscreen option. http://weblog.fok.nl/viewSingleItem/35203/Doctor-Who%3A-een-voorproefje.htm The screen froze, but the system kept operating as usual. I used ctrl+alt+f1 to open a terminal to investigate the problem and trigger a reboot. I was also able to switch back and forth to the (still frozen) x session. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/743408 Title: [sandybridge-gt1] GPU lockup (IPEHR: 0x0204) ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 367941] Re: 3D acceleration broken on Sony Vaios with dual graphics adapters
I stopped caring about a fix for this since I almost always use the Intel adapter these days. But, while testing a new HDTV I was fiddling with different modes and find that this bug still exists for Ubuntu 10.10, and reverting is the same as in the description (manual extraction and copying of library). ** Tags added: maverick -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-180 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367941 Title: 3D acceleration broken on Sony Vaios with dual graphics adapters ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Re: [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 621756] Re: Monitor Detection Problem in upgrade to 10.04.1
Hello, With some embarrasment I must confess that this particular problem was seemingly solved some time ago by a to-me-unknown-at-the-moment Ubuntu update for 10.10. I have for some time now have had no visible display signs of the settings being incorrect. I did run 'apport-collect 621756' and have sent the report within the application. I do force the vesa driver as this is sufficient for my purposes and I did not want to bother with MGA drivers. Attached is xorg.log. Thank you and others for their efforts on my behalf. I must say I am so glad to have left Windows (to 90%) behind me for Ubuntu. If I should add to the problem report in launchpad please let me know. Regards, Christopher Keller On 03/27/2011 12:24 PM, Tormod Volden wrote: Thanks for your report. The log shows the vesa driver in use, and the EDID transferred seems ok. Can you please attach an Xorg log from the mga driver? [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 713864] Re: Black screen with nouveau on a GeForce 8600M GT, either LiveCD or fresh install
Hi Mathieu, If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance. [This is an automated message. Apologies if it has reached you inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.] ** Tags added: needs-upstream-testing ** Tags added: kj-triage ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-nouveau in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/713864 Title: Black screen with nouveau on a GeForce 8600M GT, either LiveCD or fresh install ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 744355] [NEW] compiz crash reports not always tagged with compiz version
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg Occasionally compiz crashes and so apport reports a bug about the crash but the compiz version tag is not added to the bug report. This happens because in attach_3d_info there is a check to see if compiz is running, which it isn't because it crashed, so the tag is not added. There should probably be an additional check to see if the report is a crash report and if the source package is compiz so that the tag an be properly added.
