[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1226396] Re: FFe: Sync xorg-docs 1:1.7-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)

2013-09-17 Thread Daniel Holbach
This bug was fixed in the package xorg-docs - 1:1.7-1
Sponsored for Jeremy Bicha (jbicha)

---
xorg-docs (1:1.7-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream release (X11R7.7).
  * Bump debhelper compat to 7.
  * Remove David from Uploaders.
  * Stop setting CFLAGS in debian/rules (we don't build anything), and don't
use dh_testroot in clean.
  * Bump xorg-sgml-doctools, xutils-dev and xmlto build-deps per configure.ac.
  * Rebase all patches.
  * Disable silent build rules.
  * Update xsfbs to avoid re-running the build process in the binary target.
  * Adjust xorg-docs.install due to moved specs (?)

Having the gnome-ppa installed produced freezes not only in gnome-shell,

could use Lucid (10.04) on this laptop, which pre-dates 11.04. Did you
mean you used Oneiric (11.10) or Lucid (10.04)?

As well, if you ment Lucid, could you please perform the requested

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1184451] Re: Ubuntu 13.10 random screen freeze while Normal OS activites

Sometimes freezes arise when Firefox is running. It seems that something
like out of memory happens and (as 'top' shows) kswap is active
(although I disable swap completely). Pressing Alt+SysRq+F kills Firefox
and everything goes well.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1226606] [NEW] Xmir with Xorg fails to come back from suspend properly

2013-09-17 Thread Martin Albisetti

When coming back from suspend, in my multimonitor set up, first of all I
had to log back in, and once I did, only one monitor turned on, showing
me what I had on one of them, but did not react to mouse or keyboard
inputs.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1226662] [NEW] Regression in input behaviour - International Keyboard Setting ignored

2013-09-17 Thread Cefn
Public bug reported:

Although the Gnome key preview indicates that I've successfully
configured my desktop to use a UK English keyboard, in fact the events
generated within X cause US English characters to be typed.

I'm pretty sure this is a regression as it's only a few days ago I
noticed keys were mapped incorrectly, and this normally stands out (e.g.
I can't get my work done very effectively with missing characters for
programming syntax). I've had this particular build running for
something like a month now.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 896922] Re: Lenovo L520 - psmouse.c: touchpad at isa0060/serio4/input0 lost sync and stops working for seconds

2013-09-17 Thread Mathias Dietrich
@ Christopher: sorry, I mixed up the release name. I meant 11.10 Oneiric
and not Lucid. As I already stated, all releases 11.04 won't work
because Sandybridge Support was added after the 10.10 release. If you
want I can test 11.04 if it helps somehow.

Nevertheless I believe that my upstream bug-report was valid as it
features exactly the same symptoms as the Lenovo L520. Moreover, it
contains reports of several users with an Lenovo L520. It seems to hit a
number of Synaptic touchpad models / firmwares, so it is not uncommon
that different laptop models are affected. So I propose to relink the
upstream bug, so Ubuntu users can reach out to upstream.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1062077] Re: [HP TouchSmart tm2-2010eg] Linux hangs with: [drm:atom_op_jump] *ERROR* atombios stuck in loop for more than 5secs aborting

2013-09-17 Thread Roger Rösch
I am suffering from the same bug using a P502 also named Sager NP9150 (P150EM
Barebone)
with an AMD 7970m and an Intel igpu.

As I workaround i use a small script I have attached. Placed in /etc/pm/sleep.d
it seems to work for the moment.
Dont forget to make it executable.

I have no problems with random freezes, only with suspend and resume.

** Attachment added: Shell script workaround

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1213338] Re: Displaylink slow graphic performance on Ubuntu 13

2013-09-17 Thread Nikolaus Rath
FWIW, you can work around the problem by using e.g. XFCE instead of
unity.
