[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1237359] [NEW] Taskbar does not save settings when icons rearranged by user
Public bug reported: First of all, Ubuntu-bug doesn't work properly any more. In the first screen, if I select the option for other it bounces me out of the program. So I selected the least inappropriate working option. Taskbar -- I have the taskbar showing 7 programs. I have deleted some and added the following: Emacs, Wine-NaturallySpeaking, and Wine-notepad. The icons add fine. But I want to move wine-notepad up. I can do this, but when I re-boot the icon is always back where it started. This is a regression. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1237677] [NEW] In 13.10, internal laptop display no longer functioning in graphical mode after plugging into external projector
Public bug reported: Even after reboot, the display manager does not allow me to include my laptop's own display in the desktop. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1237718] [NEW] [arrandale] GPU lockup IPEHR: 0xacfbf37f
Public bug reported: This came up as System problem detected after a cold reboot. However, this is a hybrid graphics mbp which only uses the discrete nvidia gpu with nouveau. The intel card is inaccessible. I played around with trying to get the intel working via vgaswitcheroo, to no success - it ended with a black screen (maybe also gpu hang?) Strangely that was multiple reboots ago, not sure why it is reported now. However, nouveau is also unreliable since the upgrade to 13.10, reporting frequent random gpu lockups after working perfectly fine for hours. Maybe the bug reporter gets confused. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 135738]
Just to add for clarity, it shouldn't be surprising that I had to remove: hw/xfree86/modes/xf86Crtc.c: handle_detailed_physical_size() ... p-output-mm_width = det_mon-section.d_timings.h_size; p-output-mm_height = det_mon-section.d_timings.v_size; since it seems to be called on each DDC probe and not just when the connected output device has changed. This should at least be conditional on DisplaySize not being set. I don't think this has really been noticed since the core DPI is no longer tied to the output size/resolution, but any app wanting to make use of the actual display characteristics via randr will potentially get some very wrong values! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/135738 Title: DisplaySize setting not honored To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xorg-server/+bug/135738/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1196522] Re: [nouveau] Nux/Unity 7 panels appear as brightly coloured gradients under XMir with nouveau
Mir is responsible for the screen as a whole. So if only part of it is wrong, it's not Mir.
