Re: [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1299829]

2014-06-22 Thread Jean-Jacques Méric
dear Serguey

I submitted the bug report and possible keyboard alternative map, as I
fixed it on my Ubuntu machine (and per SIL standards)

However I am not competent to confirm your fix is OK, sorry I am not
knowledgeable at all on Linux
and I have no clue on how to test your fixes using the page mentionned.

Sorry this is of little help for now.

Thanks for the effort - and if there is anything I can do to help,
please tell me how to !

Friendly regards from Paris
JJ

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1058641] Re: No devices detected radeon regression

2014-06-22 Thread AJenbo
Lubuntu 14.04
The following all results in a black screen:

video=ofonly
video=radeonfb:off
video=radeonfb:off radeon.modeset=1
video=radeonfb:off radeon.modeset=1 radeon.agpmode=-1

I can usually reboot by blindly pressing ctrl+alt+f1 ctrl+alt+del
ctrl+alt+del sot it is not frozen, but no console ever apperas.

I have also tried compiling the kernel with radeonfb as a module but
this didn't help either, it just made xorg not work (console did).

This bug is still present with the latest Ubuntu 14.04. For me nomodeset
does not allow the screen to be set to its native resolution of
1280x800. Can we please reopen the bug?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 351763] Re: [RS482] Kubuntu: Display flickers after suspend-to-ram

2014-06-22 Thread Aaron Sosnick
To be clear I am confirming presence with Ubuntu 14.04 but I assume it's
an underlying problem and will be present in Kubuntu as well as every
other variation.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 560104] Re: ATI X display flickers badly after system resume

2014-06-22 Thread Aaron Sosnick
Same problem with Acer Aspire 5100 and Ubuntu 14.04.

Screen flickers after suspend and resume. Hibernate works. graphics card
not recognized and resolutions wrong if nomodeset used.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 576181] Re: Lucid - Screen flickering with ATI Radeon Xpress 1100

2014-06-22 Thread Aaron Sosnick
Just installed Ubunut 14.04 on my Aspire 5100 laptop. Problem still
exists. Screen flickers beyond usability after suspend/resume. Hibernate
has no such problem. Card not recognized/resolution not settable with
nomodeset.
