[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1564585] [NEW] make an virtual package for updating to latest video drivers available

2016-03-31 Thread Jaime Pérez
Public bug reported:

I would like to be able to install, for example, wily video
drivers/kernel/mesa easily. For example, I install a package called
"mesa-lts-wily" or better "wily-video-drivers" and it selects all needed
packages to make the transition, instead having to select them
individually. Another one such as "vivid-enablement-package" that
installs vivid kernel, vivid mesa, vivid xorg, etc.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1564565] [NEW] xinput forgets settings (props) after unplugging/plugging back

2016-03-31 Thread Pierre M.
Public bug reported:

I have recently acquired a Huion graphic tablet. It works well without
configuration but I need to set some properties to enhance my
experience. I've done so with the following commands:

xinput set-prop "HUION PenTablet Pen" "Evdev Axis Inversion" 1, 1
xinput set-prop "HUION PenTablet Pen" --type=float "Coordinate Transformation
Matrix" 0.6 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1

These commands are working but the modifications are forgotten when I
unplug the tablet and plug it back in. According to an answer found on
askubuntu, this is a bug that should be reported.

I know these settings aren't supposed to be remembered after shutting
down the computer, this is different and cannot be solved by a script
running at startup.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1563706] Re: Left click not working in workspace only

2016-03-31 Thread Eric Broneer
@penalvch
OK, tried running the latest daily-live xenial. Tried opening several Firefox
windows and tabs with my Google Drive documents and other windows. No problem
after more than 30 minutes working. Suspend mode didn't cause the bug on
xenial. I couldn't try hibernate, of course, since I'm on a live USB stick.
However, I can't tell if it would cause the same problem with all my personal
parameters set as they are now.
So far, so good. I'll let you know if I can reproduce the bug.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1220426] Re: [nvidia-prime]Freeze while using touchpad

2016-03-31 Thread Václav Pavlík
Same bug on HP Pavilion g6.
BUT I don't even have an Nvidia graphics card.
I have:
xorg and xserver-xorg both in version 1:7.7+1ubuntu8.1
xserver-xorg-input-synaptics 1.7.4-0ubuntu1

Not one of the proposed solutions has been successful for more than a
few hours for me. The system also freezes quicker if I am on battery
power. I even tried some workarounds to prevent USB powersave (since I
thought I was the case), no luck.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1554590] Re: System freezes if I connect my extern monitor via hdmi

2016-03-31 Thread albflo
Hi,

I'm currently not able to test it, I think in a few weeks I will be back
home and then I can test it with my extern monitor.

Thanks and greetings,
albflo
