[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1569089] Crash report cannot be processed

2016-04-11 Thread Apport retracing service
Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate a useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:

no debug symbol package found for nvidia-361

Please upgrade your system to the latest package versions. If you still
encounter the crash, please file a new report.

Thank you for your understanding, and sorry for the inconvenience!

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1406810] Re: screen is garbled with 14.10 (was fine with 14.04)

2016-04-11 Thread Nicolas Jungers
I burned the iso from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current
/xenial-desktop-amd64.iso downloaded yesterday. The image was from the
8th of April.

The boot gives a black screen as usual now that stay till the DVD become
quiet.

When editing the grub line and removing the "quiet splash" arguments to
casper, after an initial black period, white text flickers too fast for
my camera, I'd say a full screen or so, then black again till the end.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1564156] Re: xenial: invalid opcode when using llvmpipe

2016-04-11 Thread Jason Gerard DeRose
Oh, and another bit of information: our laptops all use embedded Display
Port for their connection to the internal screen, and in this case, this
bug always manifests.

So at least in our testing so far, both eDP and DP seem to be effected.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1564156] Re: xenial: invalid opcode when using llvmpipe

2016-04-11 Thread Jason Gerard DeRose
So there seems to be a curious pattern with this bug (which might
provide an important hint): on desktop systems with 970 GTX or 980 GTX
cards, this bug always seems to happen when connected to a monitor over
DisplayPort, but does *not* seem to happen when connected to a monitor
over HDMI.

We'll investigate this more carefully as soon as there's a new Xenial
daily build available (with the 4.4.0-18-generic kernel).
