[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 883319] Re: xrandr --scale restricts area in which mouse moves

2016-04-13 Thread tchouli...@gmail.com
Yes, unfortunately it just removes my 2nd monitor, and only pans on the
first. Also what makes it difficult, is after I enable --panning, I
don't know how to disable it, so I have to restart every time it doesn't
work.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1308105] Re: Xfce resets TV mode to NULL when power cycled

2016-04-13 Thread Vaughan Harper
Just a minor point: Glen pointed out in comment #86 that the curl
command to get the patch files doesn't work.

I've done some playing around. For some reason 'curl
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/attachment.cgi?id=5681' doesn't work - but
'curl -L http://bugzilla.xfce.org/attachment.cgi?id=5681', which follows
the 302 redirect from 'http://bugzilla.xfce.org/...' to
'https://bugzilla.xfce.org/...', does work.

So it's possible to get the patches by issuing:

curl -L http://bugzilla.xfce.org/attachment.cgi?id=5681 > alexander-patch.diff
curl -L http://bugzilla.xfce.org/attachment.cgi?id=5723 > sean-patch.diff

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1470862] Re: When using fglrx module, the virtual consoles are blank and useless

2016-04-13 Thread emk2203
Don't know if it makes sense to post, but I have the same bug
**without** fglrx, with NVIDIA hardware on a freshly installed Xenial
Xerus beta 2. It was there from the start. Maybe this helps finding the
root cause. It's not just fglrx.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1569479] Re: Graphics glitches with Skylake Intel HD Graphics 520

2016-04-13 Thread SilSie
I have similar problems with HD Graphics 520 on T460s with Ubuntu 16.04
beta (latest build): my monitor repeatedly flickers, i.e. the entire
display is blacked out for a very brief moment. This happens unrelated
to input (even when the laptop is idle).

Greetings retracing service! I tried to look at the other bug but can
not find the duplicate bug you reference. The link is dead, and when I
try to search that bug number in bugs.launchpad.net I do not find it.

Since I can not see the other bug I can not verify that it is correct.
Can someone please point me to the correct bug or tell me why I can not
see it?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1569880] Re: Touchpad not always enabled after a suspend

2016-04-13 Thread Egbert van der Wal
apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected

** Description changed:

On my laptop (Clevo P650RA) the touchpad is not always enabled after a
suspend. I have worked around this by creating
/etc/systemd/system/trackpad.service that runs a script in
/etc/pm/sleep.d/ that re-enables the trackpad by doing:

  DISPLAY=:0.0 /bin/su  -c '/usr/bin/xinput set-prop "SynPS/2
  Synaptics TouchPad" "Device Enabled" 1' >> /var/log/touchpad.log

For some reason, the 'Device Enabled' flag is set to 0 during suspend, and it
sometimes is not automatically re-enabled (but then again, sometimes it is).

I tried reporting this using 'ubuntu-bug xserver-xorg-input-evdev' like
instructed, but unfortunately, ubuntu-bug seems to segfault while attempting to
report the bug.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1569876] [NEW] Mouse trails disappear only on window refresh

2016-04-13 Thread Avishay
Public bug reported:

When I move the mouse it leaves trails that disappear when I move the
mouse over them or when I refresh the screen. The mouse cursor is
distorted when moving it slowly which makes it harder to click on small
buttons (e.g., resizing a window) as it's hard to tell where exactly the
mouse is located.

I believe this bug has some similarities with freedesktop bug
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91960 and launchpad bug
1555078.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1569849] [NEW] Crash in intel_uncore.c:619

2016-04-13 Thread Stéphane Magnenat
Public bug reported:

The i915 driver crashed on Kubuntu 16.04 beta 2 on a Lenovo Thinkpad X1
3rd generation.

I think the crash happened when KDE attempted to perform automatic
login. After the crash, I believe X was restarted. The login screen was
shown and I could log in and use the computer normally.
