Hello Christopher, or anyone else affected, Accepted xorg-server into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg- server/2:1.18.3-1ubuntu2.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1577500] [NEW] Exiting fullscreen in applications utilizing opengl freezes entire screen
Public bug reported: Whenever I exit full screen in mpv (and presumably other applications with an opengl context) I find myself with a frozen screen I cannot interact with, and need to switch to another TTY to restart Unity or lightdm. Seems as though this has already been fixed in newer versions of xorg, so its just a matter of backporting them to whatever shipped with 16.04. Here's a patch that's already been accepted "upstream" (not sure if I'm using that right): https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/72436/ Any and all other relevant information: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93844 ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Patch added: "An already accepted patch" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577500/+attachment/4653771/+files/xserver-4-4-dri2-Unblock-Clients-on-Drawable-release.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577500 Title: Exiting fullscreen in applications utilizing opengl freezes entire screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1577500/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1510970] Re: Intel driver crashes on Ubuntu 15.10
I had the same bug with 15.10. I used xubuntu, with awesome instead of xfce. None of the solutions here worked. When I had an external screen connected, the other screen would not crash, and by going to arandr, unchecking then re-checking my main screen would bring it back. When the screen is black, there are signs that everything still behaves as if there was a working screen. I reverted to 14.04 and all was fine, and now I upgraded to 16.04, and am using xubuntu with xfce. The bug is back, and pretty frequent, but I don't seem to see how to reproduce it (sometimes I'm just reading something and it crashes). I disabled SNA again, maybe this time it will work ? I don't get how this is not a more urgent bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1510970 Title: Intel driver crashes on Ubuntu 15.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1510970/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1576685] Re: Disable touchpad while typing is not active nor can it be enabled
Hmm, sorry about this (I think A number of users were complaining about this but it turns out it was more about cursor movement than clicks (or so combo of the cursor moving then a click on new position after timeout. In any event it was never intended to prevent cursor movement while typing So marking all invalid. ** Changed in: unity-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Changed in: ubuntu-gnome/xenial Status: New => Invalid ** Changed in: ubuntu-gnome Status: Triaged => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1576685 Title: Disable touchpad while typing is not active nor can it be enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1576685/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1573470] Re: BQ M10 tablet. Libreoffice Impress display wrong colors
Minor success. I've made a test available that you can use to replicate the bug using a desktop: https://git.launchpad.net/~xmir-team/xorg-server/+git/xmir/commit/?id=637f0971b191c9fbdc459f3fdb7ba5bc479b84be So this shows the problem is triggered by the priority order of supported pixel formats the Android platform returns. Mir's Android platform is returning the correct values in the correct order, but it's different to desktops, and that's enough to trigger this bug in Xorg. It remains to be seen if the problem is an issue in Xorg that's always been there, or just something that Xmir is failing to initialize correctly. Mir's Android graphics platform unfortunately does not support the same pixel formats as desktop that would avoid this bug. However adding ShmBuffer support to the Android platform would allow it to support all such pixel formats (and solve other bugs like the corruption issues). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1573470 Title: BQ M10 tablet. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1549455] Re: Unity 8 doesn't load on Intel Pineview graphics [qtubuntu: ASSERT: "eglDestroyContext(mEglDisplay, mEglContext) == EGL_TRUE"]
Daniel, i have an Asus S10-3t netbook lying around, that according to wikipedia has a Intel Atom N470 processor which would be a pineview? If you want me to try some stuff I can do. If you would rather have some form of ssh access i guess we could also arrange it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1549455 Title: Unity 8 doesn't load on Intel Pineview graphics [qtubuntu: ASSERT: "eglDestroyContext(mEglDisplay, mEglContext) == EGL_TRUE"] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mir/+bug/1549455/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
