[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1654490] [NEW] gdm3 won't work on 17.04

2017-01-05 Thread starkus
Public bug reported:

I am not able to log into the display manager using gdm3 and UbuntuGNOME
17.04. I had to install lightdm reconfigure it with dpkg-reconfigure
gdm3 and do it again after getting the message that I need to
--configure it, which resolved in an error. than I had to sudo service
lightdm start and was able to login. weston also won't let me log in. I
am using an Nvidia 1050TI which I changed when running this system.
Before using the 1050TI I was using a GT210. The Error appeared after
changing the cards I think. I am using the 375.26 driver from
http://ppa.launchpad.net/graphics-drivers/ppa/ubuntu

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1639180] Re: no login possible after update to nvidia 304.132

Update 304-134 worked here with 16.04.1 and GeForce 7600 GT (and just
before I either tore my hair out or threw a monitor through a window).

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1653295] Re: [Acer Chromebook 11 C730] Chromium and Chrome flickering

Just to clarify, the bug is only reproducible within the chroot running
Ubuntu and the stable linux version of Chrome (not on the native
ChromeOS).

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1176857] Re: Touchpad resolution too coarse on thinkpad X230

2017-01-05 Thread Ryan
Reply to #12

It's an instant showstopper for Windows 10 users as well, suggesting to
me that it's a hardware/driver problem. It has so much less resolution
compared to my old Samsung R580's touchpad! It's impossible to target
handles in Adobe Illustrator or to accurately target enemies in games,
not to mention everyday mis-clicks that happen in the OS. It's driving
me mad and I'm about to rip the touchpad out and just hack in an R580
pad that I can trust.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1653295] Re: [Acer Chromebook 11 C730] Chromium and Chrome flickering

2017-01-05 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Jacob Doherty, given this is also reproducible with ChromeOS, is there a more
direct recourse for you to submit a bug to Google directly? The only public bug
reporting method I know of is via:
http://dev.chromium.org/for-testers/bug-reporting-guidelines

It would be helpful if you reported a public bug report upstream so that
the ChromeOS/ChromiumOS developers can provide additional assistance.

Once done, could you please advise to the bug report URL?
