[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 362359] Re: Focus gets stuck to a window - impossible to select other windows

2018-01-22 Thread Greg
I'm having these exact symptoms on 17.10, all the time. I can only go a
few minutes without triggering this bug.

Thinkpad X1 Tablet, clean install of 17.10, happens in both X and
Wayland sessions.

(In fact I can't click the "post comment" button, and have to hit tab,
enter to post the comment!)

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1732840] Re: Drag and drop from geeqie to Wayland nautilus is broken

2018-01-22 Thread Rocko
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1704765 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1704765

Are you sure this is a duplicate? The other bug is about specifically
about dragging from the desktop to nautilus, and some people report it
happening in X as well as in Wayland. This bug only occurs in Wayland
and it's about dragging from X apps to Wayland apps not working.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1716184] Re: failure of xrandr to find any outputs

2018-01-22 Thread gjs
This problem has been RESOLVED.

After much hassle, machine was returned to Lenovo for service.
They could not find any hardware test that indicated any failures,
but after I raised a ruckus they replaced the "system board"
and now the problem is gone.

I am curious. I wish I knew what really failed... Oh well...

I hope that this was a useful post.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 883319] Re: xrandr --scale restricts area in which mouse moves

2018-01-22 Thread Treviño
Here's a script to get this working when using panning:
  https://gist.github.com/3v1n0/772d48481cffc5b8ca1527d6dcc62f38

Just call it as:
  ./xrandr-scale.sh

i.e:
  ./xrandr-scale.sh eDP1 0.8
