[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1766015] [NEW] Session crashes, returning to login screen
Public bug reported: Sometimes, while using my computer, everything on the screen just freezes (but audio keeps playing) and then a couple seconds later, everything is black (and audio stops at this point), and then I am brought back to the login screen. In addition, the numlock light on my keyboard is lit up, but numlock is actually turned off, requiring me to hit the numlock key again. I don't know if using two HDMI monitors at once is relevant or not. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1765978] [NEW] Xubuntu 18.04: key to switch monitors brings up whiskermenu; can't switch monitor
Public bug reported: Using Xubuntu 18.04 daily on Notebook product: 80UD (LENOVO_MT_80UD_BU_idea_FM_Lenovo ideapad 110-15ISK) vendor: LENOVO version: Lenovo ideapad 110-15ISK serial: MP16LZHW width: 64 bits Linux Xubuntu-18-04 4.15.0-13-generic #14-Ubuntu SMP Sat Mar 17 13:44:27 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux When an extra monitor is connected (through HDMI) pressing fn+f10 should only bring up a menu to switch monitors. But instead whiskermenu is opened before the monitor-switching-menu. No other fn+function key shows the same behaviour where it brings up anything else before it does what it is supposed to do.. I have the super key mapped to open whiskermenu. Please see: http://i.imgur.com/t0Jmzy6.png to see what I 'm seeing when pressing fn+f10. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1765911] [NEW] Major performance regression from Ubuntu 17.10 with i915
Public bug reported: Desktop performance on my laptop (Intel HD 520, driver: i915) used to be generally good on previous Ubuntu releases but on 18.04, there is a VERY noticeable regression. Moving windows around in GNOME is choppy and tearing. It gets dramatic after the laptop resumes from suspend, GNOME drops to literally ~1-2 FPS. Logging out and restarting the session usually fixes the problem in that it restores the barely acceptable performance level prior to suspend.
