Public bug reported: I customized my icons by changing the folder image. That worked fine in Ubuntu 18.04. When I upgraded to 19.04 my customized icons no longer showed the new image, and to fix that I did... something. Install Nemo deskop, I think, but I can't find a configuration or uninstall option for it. Then the old icons with the customized images worked fine... but now the folders have a doubles that are "dummies" (not working -- not customized -- don't respond to being clicked). In the Gnome Tweak Took Desktop icons is "off" but the toggle for "Desktop Icons Switch" has an ! meaning can't be turned on or off. I'm moderately techy in Windows, but still pretty stupid about Linux, sorry. But I can probably run tests, find logs, paste commands into Terminal Window or whatever. THANKS!!! Public bug reported: The screen just doesn't come back on upon resuming after suspending. I have explained the issue here: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2417575 and there are links to how other people have explained the same issue with the same device. Many people have the same problem with their TeraScale 2 evergreen cards. My card has been listed as compatible under "REDWOOD" in the description of these Xorg packages but it still isn't functional right away. I had to use "nomodeset" just to run the installation media with the monitor turned on and after installing every FOSS driver "Modesetting" still appears to be unloaded. Firstly we have to look at a tiny portion of a log from the same device running an older version of SLAX with much older Xorg drivers probably from 2013 and it is perfectly functional so it is obvious that the update has made some devices less functional to the point that they are not even usable anymore. I have also attached some screenshots for some more information because it didn't have "inxi" however unlike the newer version of X-server "xrandr" was perfectly functional. It is obvious that the hardware used to be perfectly operational with the older drivers but the updated version has made it far less functional.
