This is usually a problem with display connection quality. Please try a
different HDMI cable.

Also next time the problem happens please run:

  journalctl -b0 > journal.txt
  grep . /sys/class/drm/*/status > connections.txt
  sudo apt install drm-info
  drm_info > drminfo.txt

and attach the resulting text files here.

In testing Mantic Daily ISO. Dl'ed today and updated to current git in
installer. After selecting "Erase All and Install Ubuntu: Experimental
ZFS > Next... Jumped out to system and started gnome-terminal.

Created file of all modified files within the last 5 minutes. Opened
Text Editor > Open... Text editor could not see any recent files and had
no way to navigate to folders... Selected menu in top bar of editor...
Scree when blank, then to lock-screen.

On getting back through lockscreen, ubuntu-desktop-installer restarted.
Went to "try". apport said that Xorg had crashed.

On choosing report bug, apport crashed. Submitted report via 'ubuntu-
bug'.
