[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1386721] Re: Graphics Slow After Upgrade 14.04 - 14.10

2015-01-20 Thread Christian Dysthe
I am having this problem on a fresh Ubuntu GNOME 14.10 install. Windows
jerk when I drag them, and there's a lot of redraws. This is a Thinkpad
T430s with Intel graphics.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 408903] Re: Does not handle microphone mute button (KEY_MICMUTE)

2014-03-11 Thread Christian Dysthe
I just installed Ubuntu 14.04 Beta 1 and the microphone mute button
stopped working. Just to make sure I ran Manjaro Live and it works
there.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 966744] Re: [i965] Resume from suspend leaves me with black screen or a screen of the desktop before it suspended. Compiz hung in intel_update_renderbuffers() from intel_prepare_r

2012-09-26 Thread Christian Dysthe
I have a Thinkpad L520 which had this problem in 12.10. I have also had
this problem on an Asus machine a while back. I tried the solution I
found for the Asus on my Thinkpad and it worked. This is what I did:

Create a file /etc/pm/sleep.d/20_custom_ehci_hcd  containing:

#!/bin/sh
# File: /etc/pm/sleep.d/20_custom-ehci_hcd.
case ${1} in
 hibernate|suspend)
# Unbind ehci_hcd for first device :00:1a.0:
echo -n :00:1a.0 | tee /sys/bus/pci/drivers/ehci_hcd/unbind
# Unbind ehci_hcd for second device :00:1d.0:
echo -n :00:1d.0 | tee /sys/bus/pci/drivers/ehci_hcd/unbind
;;
 resume|thaw)
# Bind ehci_hcd for first device :00:1a.0:
echo -n :00:1a.0 | tee /sys/bus/pci/drivers/ehci_hcd/bind
# Bind ehci_hcd for second device :00:1d.0:
echo -n :00:1d.0 | tee /sys/bus/pci/drivers/ehci_hcd/bind
;;
esac

Set it 755 and owned by root. Now the display returns after sleep
without problems.
